Brussels@Heart Guesthouse - بروكسل

We booked this B&B after reading the raves about Carmelo. He was so helpful and informative and always had a better and easier way of seeing the various sights we had chosen. He found the easiest way to get to the Royal Greenhouses at Laeken and the opening times. He helped us to get the train to Ghent for May 1 (holiday) and supplied the best maps to go along. I had fallen and hurt my leg...and he directed me to a pharmacy near the pick up point for the city tour of Brussels! He recommended restaurants, and even printed out our boarding passes for the trip home! I would go back in a heartbeat. Yes, this place is on a quiet street and a block away is the metro and area called Manhattan that has modern skyscrapers and landscaped greenway with sculptures & fountains leading to Brussels Nord train station & from there one can go anywhere! This place was fun.

L'appartamento in Rue St. Roch è carino. Molto grande e molto luminoso. E' composto di un soggiorno con angolo cottura, bagno, camera e terrazzino. Sicuramente il divano si può trasformare in letto e tranquillamente ci si può dormire in 4. Noi eravamo in 2 e l'appartamento per noi era anche troppo grande. C'è anche una televisione e molti dvd. Il quartiere è appena fuori dal centro, a 5 minuti da De Bruckere e a 15 dalla stazione nord di Bruxelles da dove puoi tranquillamente raggiungere le principali città del Belgio e l'aeroporto Brussels International. Abbiamo pagato per un bed and breakfast ma in realtà la colazione consisteva nel latte in frigorifero e caffè nell'armadietto. Certo c'è la possibilità di cucinare e prepararsi da soli la colazione, ma forse si potrebbe offrire anche qualche biscotto e un dolce per la colazione. Il proprietario, Carmelo, è stato molto gentile e ci ha fornito di cartine turistiche per giovani turisti, davvero molto utili. Però, il riscaldamento del bagno non funzionava e nemmeno l'acqua nella doccia era sempre calda. Alternava fredda e calda ed era difficile fare una doccia e per nulla rilassante. Carmelo ci ha sistemato subito il riscaldamento e si è scusato del disagio ma la doccia è rimasta inutilizzabile perchè quando lo abbiamo segnalato, oramai era ora di andarsene...
