Hip Hotel is part of a larger franchise (Ana & Jose) of hotels that dot the cost of Tulum. Its not the fanciest of hotels but it offers that perfect corona beer commercial experience. The room rates are good but the cost of the hotel restaurant is very hight as are their cost for any spa services such as massage. The neighboring Hotel OM has a great restaurant with good food and a nice happy hour. Many people seem to go there as its a much better deal. The hotel service is good and the hotel does offer wifi which is a nice feature since cell phone service is spotty in this area. There are locals that offer massage and diving, but dont have them come to the hotel. The managment will give you grief for it. Lastly, if mosquitos like you... bring off candles or something. The rooms are not are tight so they will get in your room, and since there is no A/C... you will get eaten.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hip Hotel. We had a garden view room, upper level and it was just as the advertised pictures showed. Super comfy beds and pillows were appreciated. The beach was stunning. I had a bad start to the stay as I realised my passport missing, however Antonio did all he could to assist me in locating it. My only suggestion to making a stay at the Hip better would be to have bicycles for hire as we had to go to another hotel to do so and the hotel is one of the further ones along the beach.

Disconects you from everything literally. Only bad thing is that rooms have no AC, but it's part of the deal and environment. Great beach within walking distance.

Hip hotel is nice, great located. I liked to finally find a hotel with a complementary breakfast and wifi. I didn't like that the rooms looked much nicer on the website pictures. Also - a great discomfort were the dogs barking at night. We didn't get much of a sleep.

Nice hotel at the beach of Tulum, but a little bit expensive and there was no hot water in the showers

I stayed at this hotel from Nov. 1 to Nov 13, 2011. I went on this vacation with no preconceived notions about my stay and I returned from Tulum quite happy. The hotel was great and the people who worked behind the scenes were fantastic. The Hip Hotel is on the South end of Tulum beach, away from the busier section of Tulum playa. If you don't mind walking to get into the Tulum Beach "town" and the lack of action during the quiter periods (which is why you would go to Tulum) then this is where you need to stay.

Ett perfekt läge på denna fantastiska strand i Tulum!! God mat och promenadavstånd till flera andra mkt bra restauranger. Väldigt vänlig och personlig service från personalen. Vi hade en cabanas helt nere vid stranden vilket gav världens bästa soluppgång men tyvärr även lite väl mycket väsen från vågor och vind... Och det är sällan vindstilla i Tulum. Men i övrigt är denna lilla byn helt underbar - allt är genuint och bohemic chic :-)

Ett fantastiskt läge lagom längd är 5 dagar. Vi var 2 par.. Goda viner men menyn räcker inte före 1 v

Fhi con mi mujer para celebrar nuestro aniversario y realmente estuvimos contentos. Creemos que por el precio del hotel es la mejor opcion de la playa de tulum. Realmente te ofrece un poco mas que cualquier otro de la zona por el precio.

Hotel charmant et très confortable, très calme et très propre, personnel très accueillant et serviable, superbe plage. emplacement un peu isolé, parfait pour des vacances reposantes, loin du tourisme de masse...

Praia linda, com muitas pousadas e restaurantes. Quarto espaçoso, mas sem tv, música e minibar. Apenas ventilador de teto. Janelas não funcionam bem. Manutenção a desejar. Restaurante pouco convidadtivo. Qualidade do atendimento bem abaixo da media local, os funcionários parecem insatisfeitos e a gerência indiferente aos hospedes. Hotel defasado.

Das Hotel besteht aus Cabanas direkt am puderweißen Sandstrand. Das inkludierte Frühstück ist ausreichend, gegen Aufpreis gibt es weitere Variationen. Als wir ein Problem mit unserem Mietauto hatten, erledigte der Hotelmanager alle Telefonate für uns. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in diesem Hotel!

Vi var 2 voksne og vores søn på halvandet år der overnattede ialt 5 nætter på Hip Hotel det var fantastisk værelset havde havudsigt og solopgangne og måneopgangeb er uforglemmelige, det bedste hotel i de mest fantastiske omgivelse, kan kun anbefale dette til andre, personalet er utrolig flinke og smilende, receptionisterne taler godt engelsk og ved hvad der er værd og se i området. 5 stjerner fra os fra Nørrebro
