Suite was very spacious and clean. The attention to details in the decorations is amazing.

Wish room was alittle bigger. Thought there would be more of Ariel in room.

The rooms are absolutely delightful. Because my husband worked on the Little Mermaid ride in Fantasyland, we wanted to stay in the Little Mermaid portion of the Art of Animation Resort. However, when we arrived in the room, one of the bedspreads was missing, and towels were scattered about, as if housekeeping got called away in the middle of working on it. The next morning however, the bedspread was on the bed...and we had no further problems. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was awesome. Our seven year-old loved the decor on all the buildings and tried all three pools and two play areas. My only complaint was the layout. We stayed previously at the movie resort. That hotel had a circular layout so that the main building was central to all guests no matter which building you were in. Additionally, the buildings were of the same construction and just differed by theme. At Animation hotel, the construction style of the little mermaid building differed from the other three themed buildings which enjoyed the same construction style. And the layout was linear overall with the little mermaid building being furthest away from the main building. So if you pick the little mermaid building be prepared to feel like the odd man out. Disney should have intermixed the cheap rooms with the expensive ones instead of being so obvious with the differentiation!

We liked our stay but the Queen bed was a full not the size suite expected crowded if 6 had come other than that we had FUN

Very good theme park style Disney hotel.

This hotel offers a good value for families looking to be inside the Walt Disney World resort complex while sticking to a budget. The decor is perfect for kids, with colorful characters from several Disney animated films (great for photos). This is a rather limited-service hotel though, with one cafeteria-style restaurant and no gym — but again, it's a very good value within the Disney Park.

Great hotel. Staff was very nice. Wonderful staff at the poolside bar. The only negative was there were a few Cheerios under our nightstand area by the bed which tells me they did not vacuum very well and in the morning the maid parked her cart right outside my window as I was looking out it, blocking my view!

Aside from zero cell phone service (but we are in vacation do we REALLY need to be connected all the time?), we very much enjoyed our week at Art of Animation. We have plans to return in September.

Staying at this hotel was so much fun, for kids and adults! Our Finding Nemo Family Suite was a great size, beautifully decorated and so clean. The buses from the hotel to the Disney parks ran on time, which could not be said for some of the other Disney resorts where we've stayed.

This was great! The front desk was so friendly and gave us a free upgraded room! We are annual passholders and rarely stay on Disney property but, splurged and the kids and so much fun. The pool area, the hotel room was great in the Cars suite! We loved it! We did not eat there, so I can not say anything about the food. I would stay here again!

nice time

Disney's Art of Animation resort offers service well above its price level. Everything was new and clean, as it should be for a resort less than one year old. However, the service was great, there were hardly any "growing pains", and the Disney shuttle service to the airport and parks is truly Magical. The pools should be heated, as they were quite cold during our stay in late April and people want to swim when in Florida. However, otherwise I have no recommendations and will definitely stay at this same resort on our next Disney trip.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were very spacious. The bathroom was very big which helps with children. The staff was incredibly nice. The greeters for children were amazing with them. Lifeguards on duty at the pools took their jobs seriously continuously watching the children, never looking away from pool. I will definitely stay at the hotel again.

A great place to stay if you have youngish kids but not really for just adults. The food hall is ok but a little pricey (what isn't at Disney?) and I thought that breakfast could have started a little earlier than 7--especially if you want to get to the parks early. Great swimming pools and theming. We chose to drive to the parks but there were buses laid on. Overall good value.

As you would expect from a Disney property this was a good value and a great deal of fun for our kids. We liked this theme better than some of the other Disney value hotels we had stayed at previously. We missed having a coffee maker and microwave but managed to survive anyway. The rooms are a little small and the beds less than luxurious but overall it was a fine value for the money especially when you factor in the bus service to all the parks. Our only disappointing factor was that our car was absolutely overrun with ants in the parking lot. Make sure your kids haven't spilled a cookie or you may have a problem.

Colorful

If you plan to just need a cute place on the Disney Property to put your head down at night, this is just what you are looking for. Certainly not what many of the on property hotels offers, but also not priced like them. Good value for money, but definitely no luxury. If you plan to spend most of your awake time at the parks and attractions, this is great. My chief complaint, and they are aware of it, is very poor cellular phone and texting coverage for AT&T. Others told me Verizon and Sprint were no better. It seems to be the construction of the buildings, but when traveling with a few small children parents need to be able to quickly communicate if they become separated. The hotel ( really a motel) is conveniently located close to I4 if you are driving there, but is a considerable distance by the provided buses (promised for every 20 minutes but more like 35 to 45 minutes) to the parks. Walls should be a lot more sound deadening between the rooms.

The room itself and the service provided at the hotel were excellent. The only real criticism I have for the Art of Animation would be the quality of the mattresses they are using. I have stayed at other "value" resorts and do not recall them having such stiff, low quality mattresses. Otherwise this hotel is very well themed and laid out, with much less walking distance between the farthest point of the hotel and the bus stop area as compared with other value resorts. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was very clean but quite small. There was a fridge but no coffe making facilities. Staff were polite and helpful. The building was quite far away from main reception and facilities.. Pools were nice Food court was excellent. The extra magic hours were bonus. Overall nice stay only down side was very busy hotel and quite noisy.

clean rooms and fun for kids, we stayed in building no 7 with the mermaid theme. The 3year old loved it. Pool is very nice. Only thing is the food is typical fried stuff and not kids healthy and more like a canteen.

This is my first time staying in one of the Disney hotels, and I must say it was a great time. I loved everything about the hotel. It was very cozy and fun place to be around. Great for kids and adults. If your planning on going to any of the Disney parks, I highly recommend you to stay at one of the Disney hotels, it's close by to everything!!! Best part of the trip, I didn't have to use my car and waste gas, the buses took us everywhere. Can't wait to come back and have more wonderful memory's there!

We have stayed at most of the on property resorts from value to the top. Got a suite (Finding Nemo Suite) here. Best location on the property and very spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant was good with decent variety and well run. we did not find it overly crowded or loud and it was Easter weekend. Pool was heated and there is always something doing for activities especially for the kids. Bus transport was excellent, never had much of a wait to or from parks/hotel. Never even saw Cars section or Little Mermaid section. Huge resort. Again, if you can do it, get the Finding Nemo suites for best location that is central to everything.

It was a nice stay. The rooms were clean and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend that you invest in a suite as opposed to one room for a family of four. Also take note of how far your room will be from the dining area. Ground transportation was slow compared to other resorts.

Disney always does it best. We were comfortable and felt safe at the hotel. Pool was fun and well staffed. I only with there had been a balcony as I like to be close to the room (during nap time) while enjoying the fresh air. I guess something has to give to keep the prices reasonable.

The art of animation was a great family hotel! We stayed in the cars suite and it was a wonderful experience for our grandchildren and the adults as well. The pools were great, especially the Nemo pool. The children loved the life-size cars characters Transportation is available but we chose to use our car. The rooms were clean comfortable and we had plenty of room in our suite. Have already recommended this hotel to many people. Will stay again. Thanks Hotels.com for a great rate!

Perfect amount of space for three kids. Instead of cramming into a standard room we got the family suite. My wife and I had our own room and full bath. Two other beds for the kids was plenty of space. Kitchenette and dining table were great for eating in and making meals to save a few more bucks for the parks. Great job on the Nemo theme - kids loved it.

Way better than any of the other value resorts at Disney. Bedding was terrible and towels were like very thin towel pools. Besides those two "comfort" issues the resort was amazing.

The hotel is new and has near decorations. But that's about it. There aren't even lamps on the bedside tables or a coffee maker. The Internet wasn't installed yet. Check in was tedious. They had none if my requests from hotels.com. Overall it was nice and clean but only because it was brand new. If you're spending this much you could stay in a Hilton or Marriott.

We stayed in a Little Mermaid room in the newest wing of the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean with all new fixtures. The theming was also great - Ariel shower curtains, Mickey ears on the toiletries etc were lovely touches. The hotel staff were also fantastic (although there was almost always a long queue to speak to someone at reception). The hotel is one of the furthest from the Magic Kingdom, however a regular complimentary shuttle bus to all Disney parks means that you never have to wait more than 20 minutes for the shuttle. The hotel is one of Disney's budget hotels, so it was more basic than other hotels we stayed in during our time in the US (eg no tea/coffee making facilities), however there is so much to do in the theme parks, you're rarely in your room. The hotel was also extremely reasonably priced and taking into consideration the complimentary airport shuttle and theme park shuttles, was EXCELLENT value for money. It is huge though - several sections in large grounds, so not at all cosy or intimate and definitely more geared towards families. But a trip to Orlando can be expensive for families, so this hotel is the perfect choice and kids will love the theming. In summary: for families looking for the Disney experience without paying the earth, then you can't go wrong.

I spent all my savings on it so needless to say I was worried...but the hotel was above all expectations! We could have skipped the parks and girl 7yr and boy 2 yr would still have said they had the best time ever!! The standard rooms r small but we knew this beforehand. Food court was a bit stressful and annoying to Q three different Qs...thank goodness it was low season!! Pool with lifeguards and kids entertainment get 5star +. Brilliant! Used washing machine twice, so handy w kids. Between the choice of this resort and a delux resort at same price, this would still b the better option because of my kids ages. Loved it! We stayed in mermaid section, building 7, view towards the lake. Great.

Very clean and outstanding service.

The themed rooms and pools are perfect for young children. The little mermaid room was small and no coffee maker in the room. This is a very expensive resort for the quality, but my 5 year old enjoyed the lightning McQueen swiming pool. So overal it was worth it.

Fantastic family hotel for a budget visit!

The Art of Animation Resort was a joy to stay in. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff were amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

Loved everything about the hotel, definitely first class. The only concern I had was that there are 6-8 different buildings on the premisis and ours was a good 10 minute walk away from the food and pool. So just make sure that whatever building(theme like Cars, Lion King)you pick that you are ok with the trek. When you've spent all day at the Park the last thing you want to do is go for another walk. Otherwise very impressed. We loved the food choices. Great meals.

The suite was well designed and comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids. The pool was terrific and having such a varied food court was a real plus!
