Hotel 18 was perfect for our needs. The location is outstanding - about 1 block from the beach and all the great art deco hotels. It was small and quiet with very helpful staff. The room was equipped with a small kitchen, nice bathroom and comfy bed. Even though we were on the street it wasn't noisy. Their outside courtyard was a great place to relax at the end of the day.

I was extremely relieved to see the cleanliness of the property and room upon my arrival. It is conveniently located. We were well within walking distance to see a show at the Fillmore Theater. I took another reviewers recommendation to call ahead and reserve a parking space. That was well worth the extra $20.

We would stay here again in a heart beat! Robert was great! We arrived early and was able to store our bags and then check into our room early. We received a map of locations near by and free wifi. Our room was gorgeous and huge! The AC was a plus with the weather being so hot and humid as well as the enourmous comfy bed.

Oh my god what a dump. In fact, how it could be ranked 4.1 by hotels.com is a complete mystery to me, and as an avid user of the site it causes me to question the rankings. Let's look at the facts: * Little to no parking, you have to reserve it ahead of time * The lobby looks like something you would see in Kabul * There is no pool or spa, only a central courtyard where creepy guests congregate nightly * It took me no less than 30 minutes to check in (yes, you read that right) * No restaurant, snacks, nada. The location is Ok however.

I would recomed this hotel to anybody, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room/hotel could not have been cleaner once you went into the room you could litterly smell the cleanliness. It was very secure and we felt safe as the hotel had a locked gate with keypad enterance also a kepad entrance for the hotel room and free wifi number given but you could also use the main computer in reception if you need to print boarding passes etc. The hotel was very well located close to lincon road.. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Miami and will tell famil and friends to stay there also..

It is something from a bad horror flick . Its like an old apartment building . Its more od a hostel. Very out of date .. And creepy. No frint desk when u walk in this hot stifeling room with a guy sitting at a table like hes at home. I coukdnt check in till 8 pm . No ine even called to notify me. I had to leave my luggage with other ppls luggage in that small room and wonder aimlessly for hours.. Nightmare!! They over book!! Its creepy and there many other places to stay with the same price . Dont do it!!!

I like the fact that this is owned and run by a family. Very convenient to all the places you want to get to. We had the studio room and it has everything you need to cook a meal. I will definitely come back again.

Had to drag luggage up 4 steps and juggle door to enter tiny, non-descript lobby. Thank goodness, room was the opposite! It actually had a usable kitchen!

Great location if you want to stay off the strip but close to the action. Clean, comfy room, friendly staff. Would return.

Hotel18 was just what we were looking for. We had 1 night in Miami before our cruise departed and didn't want to spend a fortune. The room was clean, comfy and we liked the fridge/microwave. We didn't use the kitchenette, but it was nice to have. The staff were very friendly, answered all our questions and made our stay great. South Beach isn't really a place I'd stay for more than 1-2 nights, but Hotel18 is definitely where I'll stay if I ever go back.

This is a great hotel in South Beach! Close to everything and clean, clean, clean! I would recommend and I would stay again.

The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Our room, while small was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there is a courtyard in the center which all of the rooms face out onto and we were there on a Saturday night and one group of guests were in the courtyard quite loud into the wee hours and kept us awake. Otherwise the hotel location is great, close to shops, dining and the beach.

Arrived there on a Saturday evening, the receptionists made it clear that they did not want to work but rather go party. They dealt with our check-in (and that of other guests) extremely slowly and they lost my parking reservation (parking in Miami Beach is horrible). The hotel itself was ok, nicely decorated and well situated. However, lack of professionality of the personell left a bad taste.

The hotel itself is nice. Some rooms are larger than others, and you have to request a parking space at least a week ahead of time if you are driving a car there. Otherwise, be prepared to park at the convention center or mall nearby for $18 / day. The only thing we did not like was that people tend to hang out at the courtyard and can be noisy at late hours, but it wasn't too bad. Just a warning if you need absolute quiet .

Staff was very friendly and hospitable..

Nice clean room in a great location. Your in walking distance to the beach, restaurants & shopping. If you want some cheaper restaurants take the farther walk to the tready Ocean Drive area. This area also has some cool shops. I would definetely stay here again at the right price.

I found this hotel online and had to correspond with them on several occasions regarding our trip and they were fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond what any hotel has ever done for us in the past. I would highly recommend staying at Hotel 18, it's a small hotel with lots of character, wonderful friendly, helpful staff, very close to the beach, shopping restaurants, etc. I would definitely stay there again without hesitation.

My wife and me stayed here for a few nights while we were in Miami for our honeymoon. They actually bumped us up to a 1 bed room apartment for free. Plenty of room in the apartment. Lots of places to shop and eat in the local area. CVS right down the road for food and snacks. Also about 5 min or less walk from the beach. Cheap price for the area that you are staying in. Overall happy that we stayed here.

The hotel was in a great location. It was just a block from the Convention Center, a block from Lincoln & a block from Collins. Close to everything, without being on top of it all. Hotel staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. They were on top of anything I asked & knew where to go walking or driving to some amazing authentic ethnic restaurants in the area. My room - a one bedroom suite - was clean, freshly painted and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed here 5 nights as a solo traveller for pleasure. First morning the shower curtain and pole fell off the wall and smacked me on the head. It had just been put up in a lacklustre way. One end of the pole had no rubber so it could not stick. I complained and it was just put up as before, not repaired. The rooms can be noisy. I had the corner room next to 2 streets. A lot of hooting during the night and early morning. Had road works going on the whole week, sometimes starting at 6:45am! Overall it's a nice hotel with a courtyard to get out of your room a bit while at the hotel. Personally I'd pay more for a pool area. Aside from not sleeping well ANY night due to noise, it's a good hotel.

I thought it was great. The location was perfect. The front desk staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Only thing to know is you have to arrange parking when you book your stay, as there's limited parking in the whole area. There's a lot close by so, if the hotel can't accommodate you, that lot usually can. Great stay!

Traveled for business and wish I had taken more advantage of kitchenette by spending a few other nights here. For what I needed it for it was perfect, conveniently located by the beach. An interesting mix of hotel guests and apartments (I'm assuming by the sign on the door.) Seemed secure and parking was easy. Bathroom may be a bit tight for some but had everything you need!

Perfect location on a quiet street in South Beach. Hotel furnishings were old, but comfortable enough. Service was helpful. Parking is limited.

The hotel could not have done more for us. A great check in, and when the hot water had a problem, we didn't ,an upgrade right away, great.we heard no noise from other rooms despite it being a big football weekend in Miami. The room was clean and comfortable. We have stayed in a few Miami hotels and this has been the best of them , we have payed more and got less. We will stay here again. Well done Hotel18

You get what you pay for. No service at all, but a great location.

although the decoration in rooms is very simple, large room, clean. important to book parking before your arrival as it is impossible to park in the street !

Great location. Clean and comfortable. Staff handled the problem of no hot water in our room by switching rooms. They also helped us obtain a tour excursion to the Everglades. Walls and ceilings allow in noise from other rooms and courtyard. Ok for a couple but not really family friendly.

It was quite cold in Miami but the heater (which wasn't on when I arrived) only heated the bedroom - not the bathroom. Frigid! Having said that, the two fellows at the front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Very nice acomodations and location for the price. Shopping, beach and restaurants within walking distance.

Hotel Staff was very nice. Rooms had a small kitchen which saved $$$ for breakfast & lunch. Awesome location! Just a walk to Beach, Lincoln, Bars/clubs etc. Only complaints- ice machine was broken most of the weekend & WIFI was spotty (but free!). Make sure you reserve a parking spot in advance- they are limited, but cheaper than pay meters or lots in the area ($20 per day).

Very cute boutique with exceptional friendly staff! Great rates too! Would stay again.
