Hostal Tika Wasi - كاسكو

Great location, very friendly people, clean rooms too.

The hostal was in a great location in San Blas, only a short, 10-min slightly uphill walk from the Main Square in Cusco. We traveled as a couple and stayed in a room with a double bed and twin bed. The courtyard area was beautiful, but was going through a makeover when we were there (we received a small discount because of this). The view from the dining area on the third floor was great, looking onto many Cusco rooftops. There was a breakfast buffet which was pretty good. They also had tea available in the lobby area. The beds were okay, but the rooms were very cold at night. We received great service from the front desk, which knew English as well as Spanish.

It was great to arrive in Peru in November and get away from Sandy's aftermath. Sitting in the courtyard in 20C weather was very good. The courtyard is even a decent place to do work, if you have to do that. (Better than the room, actually). While Peru seems to have a lot of barking dogs, the location of Tika Wasi atop the hill means that there are fewer barking dogs than elsewhere. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the amenities of the hotel. Excellent reception service, outdoor patio with hammocks, and the best buffet breakfast we had in any of our hotels in Cusco. We were bumped at no extra cost to a superior room with incredible views, as the hotel was full. The only complaint was that the room was freezing at night, but in the end, it is a better temperature to adjust to the altitude.

Our room was clean, though no heat, so it got cold at night. Rent the space heater for $5/night, it's worth it. Bed was comfortable enough, and it's definitely close enough to all the sites in Cusco. The service, however, was as good as it gets. There was always someone friendly, helpful, and able to speak English well (we didn't have to have English, but some people might!). Be it directions, recommendations, laundry, room issues, etc., they were always willing to help. They even held our bags while we were on the Inca trail, and had them waiting in our room when we got back late from the train from Aguas Calientes. For the price, we would absolutely stay here again.

Rooms are decent, but I would request an inside room if you tend to be cold because it gets very cold at night and there is no heat. Once in bed, the bedding keeps you warm, but before bed is very uncomfortable if you're in one of the garden rooms. A note though, the garden rooms are the rooms with a view, so it's a personal preference. Rooms are clean, but not modern or updated, but that's ok with me. The service at the hotel is great, as all staff are very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast is full of fresh fruit and vegetables and bread. The location of the hotel is good, but note there is a quite a bit of uphill trekking to hotel unless you ride in a cab.

This hotel was amazing! The room was really big, staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was breakfast was not really great. But everything else makes up more than for it.Its a very good value for money.

The hotel rooms were very large. Even though my room was on the 2nd floor the staff were extremely helpful with my luggage and considerate as i was suffering from altitude sickness. I thought it is very good value for money even though the breakfast was very basic.

this hostal is very beautiful. and staff is extreamly kind. i've got big support from mr.angel during my days of cusco in the hostal room was little bit cold, but it didn't matter for me

ESTE HOTEL ES UNA EXCELENTE OPCION PARA HOSPEDARTE EN CUZCO. HABITACIONES MUY COMODAS CON UNA PRECIOSA VISTA AL JARDIN Y A LA CIUDAD, EL PERSONAL SIEMPRE DISPUESTO A AYUDARTE Y A HACER QUE TE SIENTAS A GUSTO EN EL HOTEL. MUY BUEN DESAYUNO. EL BARRIO DONDE SE ENCUENTRA ES MUY ATRACTIVO Y SEGURO Y A POCAS CUADRAS DE LA PLAZA DE ARMAS. ( eso si, son en subida). MUY RECOMENDABLE!!!!

La dedicacion de todo el personal nos hizo la estadia en Cuzco fenomenal. Todos los detalles cubiertos. Excelencia en el servicio. Las habitaciones son dignas, la parte vieja tiene defectos, disimulables, el resto, impecable. Para viajeros que quieran llegar y solo descansar, es ideal. Si buscan fancy five star, no. El barrio es tipico. La pizzeria que esta a la vuelta, merece el hotel.

Ótimo Hotel, com preço muito bom, quartos limpos, excelente localização, e funcionários muito simpáticos. O unico inconveniente é que os banheiro as vezes possuia um odor ruim, mas creio que nada tinha a ver com a limpeza do banheiro, imagino que deve ser do esgoto da cidade. Mas somente tenho elogios ao hotel e sua equipe.

Excelente ubicación, cerca de todos los lugares importantes de visitar, y al mismo tiempo muy calmado y tranquilo. El personal siempre dispuesto a ayudar y muy atento. Es un hotel cómodo y agradable. Ayudaría mucho que el internet se pueda usar en las habitaciones pues, solo está en las áreas sociales. Realmente los disfrutamos y volveremos. El mejor detalle es el recibimiento con un delicioso mate de coca.

Hotel liegt an mehr oder weniger ruhiger Lage in Cusco, Plaza de Armas ist schnell erreichbar. Frühstücksbuffet dürfte etwas grosszügiger sein, sonst aber ok. Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Excelente atención del personal, impecable en general, mucha preocupación por los espacios comunes y las habitaciones, tuve una agradable estadía, una linda ciudad con una impresionante arquitectura. Total y absolutamente recomendable. Gracias Cristian R.
