BENTON INN - بنتون

An old motel that is in need of major overhaul. The price was reasonable, but the room was pretty bad. Tub was so worn, you could see the cast iron under the porcelain. Everything is old, and well worn. It was all we could find near to Paducah, KY, where we went to a quilt show. the Paducah motel/hotels were way over priced during the show, and required 2-3 night stays. So we had to go here, 35 miles away. Wouldn't stay again, and don't recommend it.

Very outdated place, strange caretakers, will not be back.

The folks who ran the motel were really nice. My room was as clean as a moldy, old room can be. Shower stall had cracked wall and there was mold around the air conditioner unit. Refrig was clean and worked. Very close to Paducah and looked like every room was booked with quilters for the quilt show I hope I don't ever have to stay here again, although it was inexpensive.

The hotel was very old and in great need of repair. There were holes in the walls partial covered by a board. The recepticals were dangerously over loaded. The drapes didn't fit the window when I voiced my concern the staff member brought a small stained mattress cover and hung it over the rod on one end (while we had gone to the store to get something to clean the room and deodorize the room). The room had a terribly smell. We paid for a nonsmoking room and you could tell it had been smoked in alot. We was told one price and when we got there they increased it by $12.00 dollars a night. We had no choice we couldn't find another room so we had to stay there. We will not make that mistake againg. We have always had good luck going through hotels.com but not this time.

First of all it started with they did not have my reservation. Then I had no remote. Then oh yes it gets better. no closet or hangers to hang clothes so had to go to walmart buy hangers and hang things from the shower rod in the bathroom. The shower had cracks in the wall. someone had punched the bathroom door. oh yes and there was only 5 mins of hot water each morning. The good part lets see bed was comfy. and it was a good location.
