Hotel Iron Horse - أمستردام

Staff at desk friendly and helpful. Problems: we wanted to open a window but they are locked by key. Only the housekeeping staff have a key and they leave at 4 pm. Cool air outside but stuffy in the room. We found a piece of dried feces in the bathroom behind the door --- maybe from a pet as the hotel allows pets. We think the cleaner came in and did not even look behind the door. Bath is small so this is possible. We reported it to the front desk. Very marginal breakfast so we did not use.

Great location in Amsterdam - very easy to get to and from Schipol Airport (Bus 197), city centre and RAI (tram 12). Room very clean, spacious and in good condition. Nice bathroom. Beds on the soft side. Plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. Would stay again.

I'll stay here next time when I'll be around. Downtown, Red-light district is walking distance. Nice clean room. We stayed in room 107 that is located at the back of the building thus you needed to walk thru a labyrinth feel of pathway.

simple and anonymous hotel

A recently refurbished hotel, on the edge of Amsterdams main squares. Clean, tidy, well presented and within walking distance of main attractions. Great receptionist with plenty of local knowledge and useful travel info

Very nice hotel in a great location. It ticks all checkmarks on value for money - only 30 minutes walk from central station, 5 minute walk from the "central" Leidsplein, 15-20 minute walk to all museums and touristy things. And it is about 2 minutes from bus 197 stop, which will save you 30 euros on taxi. The only downside is sound proofing. We could hear everything happening in the hall and units around/above us disturbingly loud and clear.

The iron horse is a great hotel. It is very convenient to public transportation, shops, and restaurants.

My boyfriend and I stayed here during a backpacking trip in August 2012. This was one of our favourite hotels of the trip! Staff are friendly and accommodating (gave us a late check out at no charge). Rooms are huge and clean! Very comfortable beds and bathrooms are very clean and large with great amenities. Located right next to Vondel Park and Remembrantplien - couldn't ask for a better surrounding neighbourhood! I have been to Amsterdam 3 times and this is my favourite accommodations yet - I will be back again! Overall, would highly recommend this hotel!

Went on trip advisor and saw some quite bad ratings but we thought it was great. Receptionists were all helpful none of them were rude at all. Broadband worked perfectly in our room and all three of us each had a comfy bed 5 minutes from great bars and 35 mins walk from the train station so ok location. The only downside was the room was designed by a man so the mirrors and the lights were not perfectly positioned for doing our make up. Overall loved it!

Nice quiet room in a great location. Only issue was a brief time where there was no hot water.

The only good thing abt this hotel is its convenient location. Nothing else is worth a praise:1. We had booked a double room only to to find ourselves in a room with 2 single beds. Spoke to reception staff to be told that there are no rooms with a double bed in the hotel!!.2. Though the A/C was functional( atleast according to hotel staff) , the room was extremely warm. Other guests we met at Breakfast also had the same experience. Staff claimed that there was nothing wrong with the A/C.3. The quality of breakfast was extremely poor. Croissants were stale and soft. 4. at check out , we asked to speak to hotel manager , who was not available. we have left our email ids to be contacted by him/her . it has been 6 days and havent heard so far.

This hotel is just 500 m from Leidseplein, with a large variety of bars & restaurants. The staffs were very helpful and nice, they even print my flight-check-in online for free. The room is large enough (15-m-square) and very clean. For the indonesian, across overtoom (in-fron-of the hotel) there is an Indonesia restaurant (Kartika) with a very delicious food.

The hotel is in a nice area, fine for walking. The free wifi does not extend past the 2nd floor, however, and we were on the 4th floor...so I sat on the stairs two flights down when I had to use the internet. They were doing extensive renovations while we were there, and the steep stairs and bannisters were covered with plastic and dangerously slippery, but they refused to move our room or allow us to uncover the stairs/bannister. The TV was not hooked up (not important to us, but might be to someone else). In addition, our room had a brightly lit exit sign right over the door which kept half the room lit up all the time, difficult for sleeping. We wound up putting two mattresses on the bathroom floor to have the room dark enough to sleep in. I wasn't thrilled with the hotel staff, they never seemed to have time to answer questions. There was nearby parking, but extremely expensive. Our room was quiet and very clean, the beds were brand new, and the bathroom was great.

Väldigt bra läge - nära Leidseplein, Museumplein, Vondelpark och gångavstånd till de flesta sevärdheter staden har att erbjuda. Mycket trevlig & hjälpsam personal, rummet är enkelt men har alla bekvämligheter. Bra värde för pengarna.

Hotellet lå godt plassert i forhold til opplevelser , shopping og mat og kultur.

Simple, clean and comfortable. For Amsterdam this hotel offers good value for the money !

Hotellrom i bakgården til hotellet. Grei standard, ingen støy. Frokost var OK. Rommet vendte inn mot midten av hotellet og hadde ikke vinduer ut mot frisk luft, derfor lavere score på denne selv om det fungerte greit for en natt. Hyggelig betjening, men de sendte meg til en Van Gogh utstilling som bare var kopier av de virkelige bildene. Tror/håper det var en feil og ikke bevist. Uansett noe å passe på for andre så dere ikke ender opp med å ser på kopier i byen der originalene henger.

First we got room at ground floor and it was really cold (it is winter time). After a talk with the manager we got new room witch was excellent. The hotel was clean and quiet and in good condition. We would recommend this hotel as the location is great and the rate is fair.

Bonne impression bien qu'il ya eu du retard pour accéder à la chambre (15 heures au lieu de 13h), mais ça n'a rien gâché à notre séjour! Très belle chambre, que du positive pour la proprété et l'esthétisme.Il est nécessaire de bien parler anglais car le personnel parle très vite!Bonne expérience en résumé

Great value for your money. Rooms are clean and hotel looks new. Breakfast was 7,50€, but worth it, freshly baked bread with lots of fillings to choose from.

중앙역에서 트램으로 이동해야 해서 거리가 있습니다만 캐널크루즈 시작지점이나 하이네켄 체험관, stedelijk 등 뮤지엄지구는 걸어갈만한 거리여서 한적하고 여유롭게 관람 및 투어를 할 수 있는 장점이 있습니다. 저렴하지만 방은 거의 새건물처럼 깨끗하고 생각보다 괜찮았습니다. 폰델파크와도 가까워 조용하게 머물기 좋습니다. 스텝때문에 소소하게 감정이 상하긴 했으나 크게 신경쓸만한 수준은 아니네요. 다른데도 그렇겠지만 도시세금을 체크인할 때 내야 하니 참고하세요

Very nice hotel in the heart of the city. The only minus was the breakfast room, which was in the basement and the stairs were very challenging for anyone any trouble with walking. Room was very nice and quiet in spite of a huge window. Very recommended!

Problemslos angenehm

Tarvitsimme yhden yön majoitusta. Hotelli oli vasta remontoitu, siisti ja rauhallinen. Sängyt olivat hyvät. Sijainti mitä parhain. Lähellä oli mm. erinomainen Van Gogh Museo.

Hotellet har en god beliggenhet, men middelmådig service. Vinduene på soverommet kunne ikke åpnes, og air condition anlegget fungerte ikke. Det ble dermed svært varmt på rommet.
