NYLO Dallas South Side - دالاس

Service slow. Rooms echo, bad. Sat night my gr had to talk bartender through how to make drinks for other guests. Sunday morning we wanted lounge by pool and have some frozen drinks. Pool, nice except for guys tearing up tile on mothers' day It's 12:10 and nothing in the bar. I go to lobby and order beer and water. Gabe opens beers and then goes across the hotel to get water out of the kitchen. No water at bar? Tells me the bar upstairs is open. I actually rode the elevator up w the girl who is opening the bar. It is 12:20. Nothing set up. She gets off a floor sooner. She pops up in bar few minutes late w cart of liquor. I ask about frozen drinks. She says they don't have any blenders. Ok? I go back to pool. 12:50 my gf goes to bar and asks for two screwdrivers. Bartender says they don't open until 1? The elevators were out of order first hours we were there. There was a giant paint peel on room wall from leak. The upstairs room's plumbing was not only visible but super loud every time they flushed. The list goes on Nylo, looks cool on line but service horrible. Building very high on design concept but low on function or practicality. Brunch? I had to leave my table and go to lobby to refill my coffee. Second time I did this lobby coffee was empty too. Operationally speaking, rookies are running this place. No leadership presence felt and no sense of urgency to serve from staff.

This hotel was great, very clean and fun! The hotel staff was really helpful and nice. I would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in dallas. Great walking distance to many places. We loved the industral look in the king loft!!! Staff was amazing n extremely helpful. Will stay again*

A perfect boutique hotel. Great ambiance, great beds, great service, great rates.

All physical appearenves were wonderful and check in was great. Hubs and I went for a quick stay cation for our anniversary. We like service, room service, poolside service, valet parking, etc. none of which was offered YET. Apparently, they will get it in fall. Neighborhood is very transitional. Fun place for young professionals who can't quite afford all those services yet.

Room felt like a dorm room. People were sketchy. Front desk did not do what they said they would do in terms of fixing a TV remote. Probably a good place for folks looking to party, but that's all I'd recommend it for. Definitely not for a nice night away from the kids - that's what we had hoped for. I have stayed at NYLO in Plano and found that it was much nicer.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in NYLO Southside! My room was great and not your usual boxy business-type hotel room - I liked the high ceilings, comfortable king bed and lots of pillows (!), big windows that can be opened (albeit very small opening) and art work by local artists which was unique in every room. The room was fairly clean - My only disappointment was the shower curtain that was not changed/cleaned between guests. It had a funny odor and water stains. But, I suspect this is something that the hotel would have corrected immediately had I complained on the spot. Not a big deal. I would definitely stay here again. My last evening in Dallas, there was an impromptu violin and piano recital in the lobby! The lobby, by the way, is also great - It was refreshing to enter a hotel lobby that didn't look like every single other hotel lobby.

I absolutely loved the hotel! The receptionist on duty was great! The room was awesome! Very clean! Spacious! Decor unlike any hotel I've stayed before. My only complaint would be the bar tenders at the roof top soda bar were rude. Other than that, I loved it!

This is by far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. My room was like a modern loft apartment. Huge closets, 2 sitting areas, desk, and massive bathroom. Great rooftop bar with infinity pool and great views of downtown. Downtown looks far away but it's a straight shot from the hotel and only about ten blocks. Wonderful restaurant in hotel as well. Worth the price for sure! Free parking also!

Ultra cool hotel with contemporary design throughout. Fantastic roof bar overlooking downtown Dallas skyline - great for drinks and a bar meal at sunset. Easy walking distance into downtown. Low rating on comfort as room walls are very poorly soundproofed and I could hear the couple next door talking (and the rest) very loudly until the early hours - this really is a major oversight for what is otherwise a large spacious and well designed room. I didn't want to use the coffee machine provided as it was full of dirty water and had not been cleaned, and the supposedly free bottled water was provided on the first day only. When I rang reception at night to ask for water I was told there was no room service and I would need to go down to reception where a glass of water would be poured for me! So a mixed review really.

The hotel was incredible! From check in to check out, it was well worth the money. The rooftop bar and pool had an incredible view of downtown Dallas and wasn't to bad of spot to have a drink at night.

It is trendy Hotel Nice service. Only issue the floors in the room were dirty, bathroom has humidity smell, my comforter was stained, but the decoration and customer service make it up. The Lunge on the top is really cool. Did not try any other service ( food)... I will stay here again, yes.

We enjoyed our two night stay: great modern/loft, clean feel, comfortable bed. Staff was nice and helpful; fun rooftop bar. The one downside was the noise from the street during late hours.

Had a great experience while staying over last weekend looking for a future place to live in Dallas. The new girl at front desk, name slips my mind, went out of her way several times to help make my stay better. The rooms are very modern and a nice change from the normal large hotel chain layouts. Bobby at the rooftop bar and pool was great as well. Hotel is a little far from the nightlife and restaurants so be prepared to drive or take a taxi. Also, go to another place for breakfast in Dallas. Theirs food wasn't great and service was slow for a Sunday. Overall, very nice experience and would definitely stay here again!

Close to everything, food was excellent, rooftop bar so much fun with great view & great rooms!

We had a great view of the city sky line from our room. The room was amazing with very comfortable beds and lots of space. We are at the restraunt and it was okay. But the best part was the roof top bar and pool. It was beautiful to sit and look at the city. I will stay there again the next time we are in Dallas.

Very cool hotel. Enjoyed the loft-like rooms, and the roof pool & bar was awesome! This hotel seems to be in a very changing neighborhood that is evolving from industrial park to hipster-up-and-coming, so you have a few decent choices in nearby bars and restaurants but not a whole lot.... yet. Recommend having a car if you stay here (and there's plenty of free parking). You're less than 5 min away from Deep Ellum / Commerce Street where there are more interesting bars & restaurants too with live music. The restaurant in the hotel was also very good, I ate there for breakfast. If I came back to Dallas, I wouldn't look anywhere else, I'd just stay here again.

Even though they were a little understaffed the front desk staff are warm and engaging, bartender recommended an amazing drink and housekeeping respected my Do Not Disturb sign.

It was good- the concierge guy was so funny and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We really like our room because it was so different and felt more homey then a hotel. We had a fun stay there. I just wish airport transportation wasn't costly.

My girlfriend and I had a great experience at the NYLO Southside. The neighborhood is fantastic and very close to all the good food spots. It is well organized and constructed quite well, interior and exterior. Breakfast was I've already recommended the hotel to our close friends. This is definitely our main hotel that we"ll be staying at during our Dallas trips. Enjoy your stay at this great spot!

Great place!

Great Hotel, great price and relatively close to activities with a car. It is in a neighborhood that looks to be growing and the design uses the existing building to its advantage. Rooftop bar with views of downtown has great potential!

Hotel was stylish, quaint, but lacked adequate staff and amenities. Still had a nice feel and staff were very attentive- just not enough. Each night I called from my office a mile away to have a shuttle get me and they told me they didn't have a driver. Things seemed a little hectic and unorganized and yet the personalized feel somehow balanced that somewhat.

Great in all aspects. Wouldn't recommend it for a woman who was walking at night.

I went to Dallas for a gaming event at the convention center. I got this hotel because it was within walking distance. I ended up not walking though because the neighborhood the hotel was in was sketchy. They offered a free shuttle which was cool. I loved the room. It was very modern with a flat screen TV and a complimentary Keurig coffee machine. The beds were really comfortable as well. The one downfall to the room is you can hear your neighbors through the air vents, so this family with a young child and a dog kept waking us up every morning. I would for sure stay here again though!

Loved this hotel: clean room, friendly staff and free parking! Wonderful location, right off downtown! Incredible roof top views with beautiful pool! Nice size room with sofa and chair. Just wish it would have had a bathtub. Great ambiance at a really cool hotel!!! Absolutely will stay again!!

My daughters and I loved the Hotel. Very nice, quite and very clean. Upscale and contempary style of the Hotel is very pleasing. Easy to get to from Downtown Dallas.

I stayed in NYLO for one night. While it is not in the middle of the city (the area seems to be a formerly industrial neighborhood now on the rise), the hotel is chic, unique, and lovely. The former factory look is maintained through exposed brick, piping, and cement floors. That said, all the desired modern amenities are there with modern appliances, HDTV, etc. And it is just a 10 minute light rail ride (which is located just around the corner) from the heart of downtown.

We've stayed here before and will stay again! A great hotel. Plus, it kicks my girlfriend's libido into high gear!!!

Everything is great about the hotel and I will stay there again for a concert but they seemed a little under-staffed. Also we wanted to hang out at the rooftop bar after the show but it was closed.

This hotel is probably my favorite in terms of design. Very urban chic. The artwork is great and comes from local artists, which I'm always in favor of. The design is clean, simple and perfectly executed. This is not for those wanting to stay in a 200 year old bed and breakfast, so if that's your style, consider other options. The service was great. The front desk went above and beyond. The views of downtown are lovely and the lobby is a great place to hang out. I would stay there again.

My husband and I drove down for the weekend to get away from it all! The hotel itself is super cool, clean, and neat. The bar area upstairs on the roof was awesome and the staff were amazing. Best since our trip to Mexico! We def be staying here again in the summer!!
