all in all only thing wrong, bed was not comfortable for us at all. hotel was clean and employees nice.

We stayed in this same room several months ago. At that time we told the people at the front desk that the old toilet seat in the room was filthy and seriously needed to be replaced. So, months later we're back in the same room with the same filth! Nothing had been done about the problem! And, when we returned to the room at 3:00pm after having been out all day it had not yet been made up. We asked the front desk when the maid would get there and were told basically that she'd come when she was ready! After another hour we called the front desk and refused to hang up until they gave us a time. Finally, she came about 4:00. This is a basic motel which is reasonably new and could be useable if it had management that knew what it was doing and took its job seriously.

We didnt even stay here. we got to the hotel, smelled of cats and had lots of broken fixtures. We were informed that checking was not until 4, no exceptions, all we needed to do was change for a wedding, and ended up using a friends room... after seeing the rooms we decided not to even stay.

Very nice hotel, only 1.5 hrs from Yosemite Valley. Good rooms and friendly staff, I would recommend it!

will not choose this hotel again :(

I really loved my two night stay at the Country Inn Sonora. It is just a quick drive to Jamestown, which has a cute downtown with antique shops and restaurants. It's only about 40 minutes from Murphys, which is a great town too. The whole surrounding area is gorgeous. Everyone at the front desk is extremely nice and welcoming. The breakfast is cereal or toast. I'd suggest going out for breakfast. But the rooms and beds are comfortable and clean. They only have a shampoo/conditioner combo, so if you have a high need of conditioner, you need to bring your own. I would definitely stay there again if I was in gold country.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very limited. That was the only issue.

My only complaint is that the beds have wooden frames so if you cut the corner you banged up your chin.

The hotel has nice accomidations, nothing spectacular, but there was a major sound issue. Being right on the highway they way it is I could hear every 18 wheeler go by during the night regularly waking me up. If you have a choice, get a room on the mountain side of the building instead of the highway side of the building. Since teh number one thing I needed that night was a good night's sleep before driving the rest of the way to Yosemite, the road noise played a large factor in my overal rating.

It was good enough for a one night stay, the price was the best around.

It may not have been "perfect", but you get what you pay for. This hotel is very inexpensive compared to others I have been to. We stayed here on a trip to Yosemite, and we chose this one because it was on the way and others closer to the park were much more expensive. The room was very clean, there were a few maintenance issues- the fridge didn't close all the way but it still kept our food ice cold. Also disappointed to find the bathtub plug didn't close all the way. However, in spite of the few little things that were wrong with it, I actually thought it was excellent for the price. The room was very clean and cute and actually more spacious than I thought it would be. The staff were very friendly. The free wi-fi was a huge plus. They also had a breakfast which was pretty basic but it was still free breakfast. If you are trying to save money and don't care about flashy extras this is a nice place to stay in beautiful Jamestown.

We stayed there on the way to Yosemite, and the location was really convenient. The hotel rooms were just renovated in 2012, so they had new furniture. The building is aged, but the place was adequate for one night stay on the way to Yosemite.

We stayed there Easter weekend and the remodeling is very nice especially in the rooms. They were very clean and comfortable, although the bed was very hard. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best and the second day they were out of all lot of the food and the apples were wrinkled. Laundry bags stacked outside under the stairs in huge pile for 2 days

Everything was great. It was a nice quiet location and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a little skimpy. They didn't have any rolls by the time we got down there at 9:00 a.m. Other than that, it was nice.

This hotel was right of the highway. Easy to find. Rooms are well maintained. Look like they came out of a 4 star hotel for a cheap price. Drinks and snacks available on site. Perfect for us because they accept pets and we had or dog with us. Very happy with our stay at this Inn

Bed frames are very hard on legs. Could improve on amenties.

The service at this hotel was terrible. The clerk made us "prove" that we had kids under 12 by walking them into the lobby so she could see that they were younger. She was snappy and completely unhelpful. We were unaware that we would be charged $10 extra for everyone in a room that was over twelve. We were told that we were trying to cheat the hotel although we had been open abt all the kids ages. I would never stay at this hotel again. It is an old hotel so its only bright side would be its service and that was even worse than the hotel condition. When we asked to speak with the manager, she was very degrading to us.

Check in was great, and the host was very welcoming. She had our room keys made, so there was no delay in getting to our room. The hotel was recently renovated so it was clean, with good features. It had a nice flat panel TV with ample cable to keep my wife and the kids entertained. The shampoo provided wasn't plentiful, however, a trip to the front desk yielded more.

Bed was nice and comfortable, shower was clean and had nice pressure

I stayed there for one night while skiing at Dodge Ridge (which is about 45 minutes away). The location is right on Rt. 108, about 3 miles from Sonora, where there are restaurants and stores. The staff was friendly. The room was affordable but you get what you pay for. Breakfast was disappointing. Two kinds of cereal, danishes, lowest quality bread, rancid butter, weak coffee, apple juice, milk, and fruit punch served with tiny foam cups, which we had to take back to the room because there's no room to sit. The alarm clock was broken. The bathroom had peeling wallpaper and smelled like urine and I was disgusted to notice what looked like urine spots on the shower walls. The toiletries consisted of 2 cheap bars of soap (1 small, 1 miniscule) and a small and apparently half-used little container or shampoo. The beds were comfortable but the room alternated between too cold without the heater and too hot when the heat was on. Free wifi was a very useful feature.

To be honest I had read some reveiws and they were not great. I was a little nervous but when we arrived the lady at the front desk was very nice and even called down to the Willow Steak House and got us a reservation to eat. The room was very neat and clean. The continental breakfast was nice. Overall our stay was very pleasant and we would come there again without question.

Rooms were nice, but the beds were to hard. Nice rooms though.

The price was very reasonable and I was pleasantly surprised as to how clean and quiet it was. The staff was pleasant, helpful and nice. Will DEFINITELY stay here next time I am in Sonora.

Needs to be remodeled.

Perfect location to Yosemite National Park

I chose this hotel based on appearance and assumed all would be fine with the internet connection. The connection was great the first night; but half way through day two, it was cut. I ended up losing most of the business I came out for and went hone a day early, lost a lot of money and will (nor will anyone I know) stay here again. I work in the entertainment industry, primarily with big names, and word will travel.

The location was very close to Sonora and also Columbus, which we were visiting. The breakfast was quite small, but not too bad. Would stay there again.

I don't like the bed frames!! I have stayed there twice and both times hit my shinn on the bed frame, Ouch!! Staff was very pleasant and friendly and the loby area is quite cosey. I don't particularly like the layout of the room because if the drapes son't close completely, they invariably don't, I feel someone is looking in while my back is turned at the bathroom sink. The front side of the hotel is noisey from road traffic during the commute hour but not too bad. I will stay there again, the price is right.

Very nice hotel with a free breakfast bevery day. Close to hETCH HETCHY as well.

The price was right. Very comfortable for our one night stay in town.

Not much in the immediate area but fine for "traveling through" as it is on main road. Found several long hairs on top of the bedding, otherwise clean and fine. Would stay again.

Great location off of Hwy 108, but far enough from the street that we couldn't hear any traffic. Beds were comfortable. Room was great. The only issue we had was walking to the end of the building or farther for our dog's to do their business.

Room was more than we expected it to be. Hotel staff were great. She gave us a great reference for somewhere to eat. Location was perfect.
