Good location with a great view, clean room, great service, scrumptious breakfast service and safe parking and building. Everything you can ask for in Hermanus / Cape Town. It is within walking distance of Hermanus town centre (along Marine Drive), with a great sea view that let’s you see both sunrises and sunsets. We were staying in room 8 (3rd level I believe) and there was a comfortable bed, bath tub and showers with consistent temperature and pressure. The correspondence over email (or booking site) was always prompt, and Garth gave good recommendations to activities and restaurants in the area. There was also a really good breakfast menu which we would have savoured more if we didn’t have to rush off to a whale watching boat tour. The safe parking area behind a locked gate also should not be taken for granted since most other parking areas we saw were unsecured Only downsides (we are nitpicking here) are that the room light switches are not conveniently located, ie you have to turn off the lights near the door, then grope around in the dark to the bed. And the bedroom slippers make a loud squeaky noise when you walk on their tiles- they were really cold otherwise we would have gone barefeet. If we are ever back in this part of the world, will definitely be back!

Clean and nice hotel. Great breakfast and lovely stuff. Recommend to take a room with a sea view. We booked late so we couldn’t but we saw this room while they were cleaning and it’s look better

My wife and I checked in at 7 on Marine for our 1st year wedding anniversary weekend. Our experience with 7 on Marine was undoubtedly one of our best in the hospitality sector. From the beauty of the guesthouse to the awesome reception of the staff. The staff were always willing to go an extra mile to ensure our stay was a memorable one. I recommend 7 on Marine to anyone wishing to lodge by the Whale Coast and we have definitely made the guesthouse one of our regulars.

On our arrival, we were met by the managers Brenda and Garth, along with their very warm and welcoming team. We were then given a lovely tour of the room and the amenities that they had to offer. The Mountain View Luxury Room was incredible, with an amazing view of the Kleinrivier Mountains that line the beautiful Hemel en Aarde Valley. The breakfast was amazing with great variety, met with friendly and smiling staff. We couldn't resist staying one more night and spontaneously decided to stay. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else and will most certainly will be back! Thank you to the 7 on Marine Team for an incredible weekend!

This property overlooks the water with a spectacular view The room was beautifully furnished and decorated Upon arrival we were greeted by and he general manager Garth who showed us to our room a very gracious well mannered man It was our 30 year anniversary on a trip of a life time and couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place than this Garth is the soul of this hotel and is the reason we will come again He couldn’t do enough from the start A bottle of champagne in our room rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed rose petals in the tub He arranged dinner for us called us a taxi Never have I ever been treated this way Cheers that you have a manager such as Garth Cudos to your chef and staff whom are only as good as your manager Than You for a wonderful anniversary experience and for the warm welcome your staff gave us All the best and success Brian &Carol Curran Surf City NC USA
