The lobby area and restaurant were nice and new feeling. The rooms are musty smelling and linens were not new. The chair in our room had water stains on it. The photos on the website do not reflect the actual condition of the pool chairs/rooms. We expected a different level of presentation of the rooms with the amount we paid for the hotel. The food at Seaspray we had for lunch was unimpressive. The burgers were dry and the chicken was dry. The staff at the bar/restaurant were lovely and very accommodating. The location is pretty as you are right by the water and having a relaxing drink in the evening on the patio was the biggest highlight of our stay.

We arrived after a long flight hoping for a good night’s sleep. However, our room on the 8th floor was almost directly above an area where a wedding with the loudest percussion music, rather like water torture, pounded for hours. When I asked if more weddings were planned, I was told the following two nights had wedding events scheduled, so we left early. If loud parties are planned, the hotel should at least have sound proof glass doors on its patios. Also, the curtains had holes in them and the room itself was mediocre, certainly not worth what they were charging for an ocean view room. The staff at reception was excellent however. Jackie P graciously assisted us with receiving and resending a document, and the staff the next morning, after receiving similar noise complaints, immediately let us cancel our reservation and cancelled the “resort fee”. The location on a channel was lovely, and we enjoyed a fine lunch on it.

All aspects and value are average. Service at the restaurant was friendly but slow; rooms are average, at best. Front desk was transactional, only. Parking, for an additional $32/ day… why not just include in the price of the room? Location is nice; but for the price it would be nice to receive a little more upscale experience.

It worked but wouldn’t stay again

The lobby is the only area along with the back patio that is nice. The hallways are dark. Our couch had a stain on it. Just out dated and far from bright orange vibrant. The staff was friendly and helped beyond words but the valet area was crowded, hard to get in or out. The view was pretty but the hotel needs an update.
