Tyhis is is hotel has come a long way back in the day

This is a smoking hotel. This used to be, after renovation, a beautiful property, however management now allows people to smoke without any apparent consequences. The hallways are often smoky which leaks into the rooms. It’s a shame to see what was once a good value hotel devolve into although wind motel. The walls are thin and you can you can hear your neighbors but that’s tolerable for the price and for the relative former cleanliness of the property. For those that don’t smoke, it’s frustrating that one has to endure smoke in the hallways and rooms that were supposed to be non-smoking are now clearly compromised and smelling like smoke. As I type this I can smell the smoke entering the room even though I have placed a towel at the bottom of the door. I’m glad this is my last night here, I’ve stayed here many many times over the last 12 years but will now avoid this property unless there’s a commitment to restrict smoking entirely. Sadly I’ll never find out because I won’t be back. I visit my elderly parents while in Clifton, and will now look for a new place that is committed to a non-smoking environment.

My stay at La Quinta Inn was horrible at best. I made a reservation for an overnight stay in a King bed room and was given room 242. There was a loud screeching noise (as in metal grinding against metal) coming from the room next door. This was followed by what appear to be water being forcefully injected into a washing machine . This went on the whole night and had to turn the TV on to try and drown out the noise. It didn't help much but it was worth the try. After I got up I went to take a shower and there was no hot water available. Talk about adding insult to injury. Once I departed the room, and out of curiosity, I had to figure out where the noise was coming from. It turns out that there is a storage/boiler room right next door. I've never looked forward to checking out of a hotel room as I did today. It was horrible and a total waste of money.

We felt very comfortable staying there thru covid

Stayed here on Friday night. In room 402. There was a loud noise coming from the room below. I didn’t notice it being that loud at night. But it woke me up in the morning and at that point it wasn’t worth changing rooms. It sounded like construction work every couple of minutes. The hotel isn’t bad at all. If I stay here again I’ll make sure to avoid that room and any room next to an elevator.

Clean, comfortable room, just the amenities I needed. Staff courteous, accommodating, and took all safety precautions. Convenient location, with restaurants and shopping nearby. Definitely recommend.
