Amazing old hotel with lots of character. The people who work there are true service professionals and they made our stay amazing. I had to move to a different hotel for work and the level of service we received at the Ambassador was so much better!!!

Golden stay in the Gold Coast!

We enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador. We usually stay closer to Millenium park when we come to Chicago, but we were looking for a place further north this time. The staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating, and our room was spacious and comfortable. It's true, though, that our room would not have been an easy fit if we were people of more generous size. The king bed was very low to the ground and the clearance for the toilet between the wall and the sink was on the skimpy side. But not rooms furnishings and layouts vary -- true in any hotel -- and it's just a question to ask if you book. We be happy to stay there again.

We really liked the Ambassador. As we were there with many other family members in the area, we did not get to spend much time at the hotel except to sleep and shower. Only a couple of glitches: one shower on Saturday morning turned ice cold midway though which was unfortunate when all soaped up. Also, one elevator was down our entire stay when the sign said it would only be down for 30 minutes one early morning.

My daughter and I had a get away together and thought the hotel was perfect. Beautiful safe and clean.
