Paradise Island, 5 Min to Atlantis & Cabbage Beach. 3 Pools

Where to begin... We found the property no problem and discovered later that night there was absolutely no water pressure coming from the shower. Tired from traveling we dealt with it and washed off as much as possible with ice cold water. We contacted the property manager and informed them of the issue. To their credit they did respond and had a plumber out later in the afternoon. I discovered the shower head was so lime dirty that it was blocking the flow, but as it turns out the entire water heater had went out. This was replaced and it was nice to have a hot shower. The other issue was the faucet. This was also old and apparently had leaked beneath the sink and soaked all the towels. Again, to their property manager's credit they had the plumber back out the next day and it was fixed along with new towels. On the last day, one of the living room chairs broke. The pull out sofa was very outdated and my daughter chose to sleep on the couch without pulling out because of the springs and being uncomfortable. It would have been nice to have directions to the beach.... We figured it out after asking several people. The walk is not long, but it is not short either especially because the hotel/room is at the top of a hill. It is an at least a 15 minute walk one way. There are very few dining options without walking about the same distance. I would suggest Viola's for value, closest and quality. There Conch is excellent. The lady at the "bar",/grocery store is flat out mean.. I stopped going there after the second day. My wife experienced the same thing. The condo is not bad, but really needs some updating and just some basic ongoing maintenance. The price for Paradise Island is certainly reasonable, considering the hotel prices on the island. A lot of things have been fixed now, but we definitely would not stay here again. It is too bad because the place has potential. We are not overly critical people, but we were disappointed and it did mess with our first two days. We even considered moving, but again they did respond appropriately, but I would have thought it would not get to this level of being outdated and items that needed to be replaced.
