Must check up on housekeeping asap and refurb room

Firstly this was our third time staying here but very disappointed with cleanliness in our first room appalling the shelving was so thick with stour but Ericka on reception got me another room within seconds I do feel the rooms are a big let down these days they must get refurbished asap as the location of your hotel is perfect and the breakfast was a 10 out of 10 as were all desk staff and waiting staff so thankyou

A wee night out in Glasgow

We use your hotel whenever we stay in Glasgow. We always find it clean,friendly and safe.Breakfast always brilliant

Expecting more for the price

The location is great, super central and easy to get around but for the price per night the rooms are in need of a bit of a touch up. The skirting board had scuff marks all over them, the soap holders in the bath had fallen off so we’re just lying at the base of the tub. The bathroom had sealant missing, and the edges around the bath woodwork had a weird yellow foam that just looked unfinished or like a botch job. I stayed there over the recent heatwave and was looking forward to being able to change the heating or there being a fan but there was not. Also no extractor fan in the bathroom! Maybe I was expecting too much, but feel like you’re very much paying for the location rather than the room

Great location

Check in was good. Staff very helpful in checking us in early as we had a wedding to get ready for. Comfortable stay.

Not so good

Reception lobby was a good start unfortunately it the rest of the stay didn’t live up to any sort of standard. The guy checking us in seemed a bit confused as what room to put us in. Finally off to the 4th floor to get ready to go out. The room was small which would have been ok if it hadn’t been so run down. The bathroom was worse and the bin hadn’t been emptied. If we hadn’t been in a rush to go out we probably wouldn’t of stayed. We complained to the guy on reception on the way out and asked his to have the bin emptied, he apologised and said he would get it done. When we returned to the room after our night out the bin had been emptied. The only good thing I could say about the stay was the parking associated with the hotel, but even that was hard to get to. It’s a shame because the hotel is busy and you would think that they would put some money into keeping the place up to scratch.

Okay!

This hotel is fine. It is in a great location near Glasgow Queen Street. However it is smaller than expected and dated. My room was okay, but small, but the bathroom needed a refurbishment. There was extra grout added to the tiles over old dirty grout and the bath had a dent in the bottom. It was fine but nothing special. The breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful.

Fair City Hotek.

Reception, bar and restaurant areas very nice. Bedrooms andbbathrooms very tired. Need a refurb! Staff pleasant. Great location.

Staff very friendly, rooms were nice and clean only negative the rooms were small not much room to get ready in.
