Close to university, paid $20 overnight cark parking onsite and breakfast yummy. Handy to the shops. Will go back there again.

Great convenient location, breakfast great polite and efficient staff. The curtains let light in early morning and the pigeons also woke us up. One curtain had stains on it. Otherwise difficult to fault.

Willis Wellington is a solid, basic hotel and this was our second stay here. The rooms are fine although we wondered about the standard of cleanliness this time as we asked for a clean blanket and there was a supermarket receipt in one of the drawers. A good breakfast is provided (no croissants this time, though!). Staff are friendly and welcoming and even allowed us to use a car park for free after we had checked out.

This is old classic Wellington hotel. The windows are original single glazing and rooms are well appointed but basic. My big gripe was that we had a really late evening and when I wanted to extend our hours in the morning to 12pm I was told I couldn't and even to extend them to 11am would be $25. I have paid $25 in Wellington before to extend to 12pm but I have never had to pay to stay till 11am and on top of that to not be able to extend. What if we had been ill and needed that extra time? Not a place to stay unless you're an early riser.

Great stay

Very friendly and helpful, check-in was quick and we easily got a carpark on-site (for $20). The room, bed, shower and bath were clean and tidy. The Queen-Bed was comfy, but seems to consist of two separate mattresses which slightly split if you´re lying in the middle. It did not wake us up as it wasn´t too bad, but was a bit annoying in the morning. Breakfast was great, you get to choose between different types of bread, croissants, muffins, cereal, fruit and more. Warm food like hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms, sausages and bacon are also available and taste great. I would totally book again!

I have stayed here somewhere between 10 and 12 times now. This was my daughter's birthday treat. Her pick was going to Wellington to stay at The Willis! We will continue to stay at this hotel but room 202 was not a good room. The view was absolutely dreadful and quite disgusting of the inner part of the hotel. The view was of filthy walls covered in rust and pigeon poo so that was disappointing. I did request for a nice view as well. On our checkout date our cooked breakfast was very late but the reception kindly allowed us some extra time to pack our stuff. The hotel appeared quiet so it was quite disappointing especially with the room ws got. We will always stay here though we love the Willis. Just other times we've definently had nicer experiences.
