Unique property, older strip motel that has been very nicely decorated in a retro fashion. It has a record player and even some albums to play. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. Everything you need to cook & serve 4 people any meal you cooked. Everything was exceptionally clean. Andrea was very helpful on the phone when we had an issue with door code(our fault). And the young lady on site was also, friendly & helpful. It was a great getaway very close to Wimberley square. I would have given it 5 stars except for the difficulty in adjusting the a/c which is done with a strange little remote, but that might, also be a user problem. Lol

Need instructions on heating

The only think was we could not find instructions on how to make the heat work. Perhaps some instructions could come with the room. We tried everything and it was COLD night.

Very surprised at all the details.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but the room was a very nice size, attention to details is amazing. Besides having an interesting assortment of books, the was an old time record player with LP's and 45 records.

Great place for one or two nights

It was a great stay for one night, the room is big and we love the kitchenette with all the essentials and the coffee maker with coffee provided. It is not a "family owned hotel", the owners don't live on site, so it is a little impersonal. The outside area is not really "cozy", a few nice touches/decorations would be nice (mexican pottery, decorations on the wall between the rooms, chairs on the lawn, lighted hot tub (no jets by the way, just warm water)). But the room is great!

Unsatisfied

Two lights were out; commode seat cracked and kept pinching leg; tub drain not working so standing in ankle deep water each time; credenza leg tilted and almost coming off. Found out from room attendee the next day that they knew about these items but nothing was fixed prior to our stay. A small refund was given but I would not return to this site.
