Great place to stay

Checking in was super easy. It was raining and the desk attendant informed me of the back door closer to our room, and saved us from getting wet.

Overall, staff was very nice. Went to check in at 3 but room wasn't ready until 4:30pm. Night staff was nice except for one woman. Went to get coffee with my mother and it was cold. My mom told her and asked if some fresh could be made. My mother turned around and told me it was cold coffee(so I wouldn't drink it) and the staff member evidently thought my mother was talking to her. Because next thing I knew, the staff lady turned around and RUDELY AND LOUDLY and said " Ma'am I told you it was going to be 5 minutes before the coffee is ready!" I told the staff lady she was talking to me NOT you and there was no reason to yell or get ugly with my mother. So WE kindly waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes and the staff lady NEVER came to let us know if the coffee was done. She kept looking at us but NEVER dared to update us on the coffee. We just let and went back to our room. Now I know there is coffee upstairs in our room BUT I knew we woudn't have any for the morning. And we WERE NOT about to ask anyone else for help for the fear of being yelled at again for asking for more k cups for our room. Other than this the OTHER staff members were very nice, welcoming, and helpful.

We had booked a king size room from your service,. However, when we arrived they had us booked in a two double room. When we showed them the printout of our reservation with the king, they then proceeded to tell us that we shouldn't be using Hotels.com because booking through a third party there was not any guarantee that we would get what we purchased. "We should only use the Holiday Inn site to book there. The manager was very rude to us.

The first night of our stay was horrible. The people in the room next to us were loud. We could see light under the common door that separates adjoining rooms and heard everything they were saying. Later that night around 3AM I had to call the front desk to complain about the noise and they promptly come up to the room and told them they needed to quiet down. About 20 mins later they finally did. The second night was much better. I don't know if the noisy people checked out or if they were moved. Either way my wife and I got a good night of uninterrupted sleep. Overall the hotel is old and in need of updates. As mentioned previously the common door needs much better sealing and sound reduction. The water pressure and water tempature in the bathroom was alright. I like it hotter and things like the hair dryer and toliet need updating/replacement. The only reason I would stay here is location. I think for the money I can get better accomodations elsewhere.
