Weeknight at The Marker

Had a lovely stay at The Marker, great location, super cute hotel. The thermostat was a bit old and it never really got cool. It felt a bit warm and stuffy. But overall great stay. Will definitely stay again.

Dirty Room

I would not recommend staying here. We were excited to stay in San Francisco but there are most definitely better options than The Marker. Although on the hotels.com description it states there is self parking for 39 dollars, this is a bit misleading… upon arrival and inquiring about parking we were told there is no parking and the two places that are recommended were full. We asked for some guidance or a map or anything to help us find parking and we’re referred to a map website…parking is not the easiest in San Francisco. The hotel room was not clean. There were whole dates, date pits, elastic bands and other bits of garbage on the floor of our room- gross. The shower door tracks were thick with black mildew and in the process of finding out that our tv was non functioning we also found out that the remote control was imbedded thickly with food (or vomit, who knows- it looked disgusting) between the buttons. Our room only had two towels despite booking for four people. This hotel tarnished our San Francisco experience but now we know for next time.

Family Review

We upgraded to a large suite for $40 per night extra. Well worth it. Room was clean although smelt of stale cigarettes at the beginning. No kettle in room 😡 and no facilities to get a coffee apart from in the morning from 6am. No restaurant so had to walk out to get breakfast. The Trattoria Restaurant is only open between Wed and Sat and as we were staying from Sun to Tues wasn’t great for us

Generally a good stay. Rooms show some age & wear but still clean & comfortable and a great location. My biggest complaint is that we were on the second floor and could hear EVERYTHING going on at the wedding reception downstairs that didn’t end until after 10pm. If you’re put in a room on the second floor, be sure to ask if there are any events during your stay. If so, ask to be moved.

Very nice central hotel

Got upgraded to a site and it was nice to be in the centre of San Francisco and have plenty of room to move around in.

We loved the funky, eclectic decor throughout. It was nice to be able to get a cup of real coffee in the morning, as opposed to the awful in-room kind in most comparable properties. Parking was a short walk around the block and not cheap at $39 USD per night but, since the front desk clerk had let me know that on-street parking in that vicinity isn’t safe, it seemed the only sensible option. Plenty of nearby shops and restaurants available. I would pick this hotel again.

Long weekend

Staffs are very super nice and friendly, hotel is in good location. Only 2 things was not my room next to the elevator so we can hear it up n down with that noise can’t rest well, and the pillows are too soft.

Loved the hotel - great location, close to public transportation, parking garage was close and affordable (for San Francisco). The hotel is really nice - very clean. My only complaint was that the bed was not super comfortable - that said I have very specific needs around beds so it would probably be fine for most. My husband (who has had back surgery) thought it was fine. the furnishings were elegant and the lobby is lovely.
