Coromandel Secret

The place is a real refreshing suprise, far away from ordinary. The hosts are lovely, the views are stunning and the bed is comfy. You won't beat Klaas's homemade breads and marmalade or exquisite cooked breakfast. This place is hands down one of the best B&B's you'll come across in the Coromandel. We are looking forward to receiving the recipe of the excellent brioche ;-)

This was the perfect start to our honeymoon! Gorgeous accommodation with amazing views out over the Pacific Ocean from the balcony of our luxury upstairs private area. Our hosts are amazing (with an incredible breakfast in the sun-soaked dining room. And all the smallest touches were really thought out too, from the wirelessly controlled led candles to more than the usual bathroom supplies - not just body balm, but panty liners to hygienically-sealed hair brush for those moments when you realised you forgot to pack something in your mad rush. The village, surf beaches and shade beaches, lagoons and easy driving to iconic holiday activities and attractions. All up, perfection. A truly perfect place to stay.

A wee gem

The fantail B & B was beautifully appointed with amazing views out over the coastline. Klaas and his wife Annette were fabulous hosts who provided a beautiful cooked breakfast. Lots of bird life to be heard and quail roaming free. Excellent service and would recommend.

Had a great time there, relaxing was easy. Klaas & Annetta were lovely and made the stay there extra special. Their lovely spot is on the sunny side of Mount Paku and shows off the best of what Tairua has to offer.

A sink would have made it easier to refill water bottles and to refill the jug. Everything else superb.

Romantic stay

We had a three day and night stay to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everything about the stay was outstanding. The views are amazing, especially waking up in the morning in the top floor apartment - we could have stayed on the private deck all morning looking north up the Coromandel coast. The accommodation was so clean and comfortable, with everything we could want and the cooked breakfast was first class, with delicious freshly home made bread everyday. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our many conversations with the owner.

The view over the bay from the Tui suite is beautiful - you can hear the sets of waves lapping to the shore. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay at Fantail.

Everything from our initial welcome, through numerous offers of assistance during our stay (including the loan of spade and beach towels for use at the local hot water beach), to an early breakfast before our flight departure were excellent. We really felt at home. The B&B is in a great location with stunning ocean views, extremely well maintained and spacious accommodation.
