Great room but....

Lovely clean spacious room, comfortable bed, great view and good en suite. Lots of stairs as built on a steep slope. Bars & restaurant closed at 3pm and nothing else nearby.

Decent service but lots of stairs and insect bites

The service at the front desk was helpful. I was able to check in early and they helped me with my bags. Keep in mind there are a lot of stairs and although once I got to the office they helped me with my bags it was a bit of a fight with two suitcases going down the stairs to the office. The restaurant was near the beach. Service was slow but the guy serving me was friendly. In the middle of the night my legs started itching and I woke up the next morning with a bunch of bites. I’m not sure what big me but it started to pus a couple days later and got infected. I’m not from the island so I’m not sure what kind of bug it was. I really hope it wasn’t bed bugs or anything serious.

The rooms did not have a mini fridge, the mosquito screens were ripped, there was cobwebs by the window, the balcony had no shade, the towel had stains and the bath match had holes in it.

Clean and clean bathroom,our Tv didn’t have Tv controller we asked for it and the front desk said that we arrived very late in the night that tomorrow we”ve could pickup, we have a relaxing and enjoyable stay at this hotel.

We checked in to Unit 102 and checked out of Bird Rock within 40 min after having the following issues: Bugs in kitchen area, mold on bathroom ceiling, no hot water, insufficient electrical power to use a blow dryer, slow drain in shower, view of wall and material/supplies/pipes, open outlets showing rough wiring. I photographed the areas, requested a refund which they refused as this was prepaid through Travelocity, indicated their manager was not available on New Years Eve and then offered another room. We rejected the offered room and checked out.

utterly terrible hotel, the worst I have ever stayed at. The whole place is falling down, looks nothing like your picture, the staff are rude and unfriendly, the food is disgusting and the room was the worst room I have ever been in. Complete waste of time and money will never use you company again

My stay at this hotel was awesome. I love that is an older hotel with individual buildings and not a big lobby and elevators, It gave me that residential feel. A real home away from home.I love that I could stay in bed and watch the ships on the water. I had a basic room which was OK but looking forward to going back and upgrading my next room. The price was good and room service was excellent.They just need a small refrigerator in the basic room for cold drinks at least. The food at the restaurant was good and the prices were reasonable.
