Absolutely great value for the money, extremely helpful and efficient staff, and ideal location re Metro trains, airport transfers, and free CBD trams. Room was smallish but adequate and perfectly presented.

Great price and location

For the price this hotel can not be beaten, my room was on level 2 and looked onto Spencer Street, I actually slept in until 10am, the hotel was surprisingly very quiet inside as it was booked to capacity, close to the train station and the 96 tram which takes you to the Bourke St mall area.

Housekeeping

I had to wait to check in or pay an extra $20, so I came back at 8.30pm and checked in and when I went to my room it wasn’t cleaned or made up

Dont join the beds

When you say the bed is kingsize it shouldnt be 2 singles pushed together so the join in the middle is unbearable to sleep on.May as well have just been a single would of been more comfortable

The Foyer area is good for a budget hotel, but there is a depressing vibe upstairs and it kind of reminded me of a prison. The rooms are a decent size but it feels like there is not much separation between you and the hallway, thin walls/ blinds and big windows. As a female staying along this freaked me out at first. Rooms and linnen was clean and in ok condition but my room had some areas that needed maintenance and the carpets could do with replacing as there were some very threadbare areas, especially around the cupboard. If you are not too fussed and just using this as a crash pad then it's ok, as the location is great and central. If you are wanting to spend a little more time in there, I would recommend trying another option as there are some hotels in a similar vicinity that look less spooky. Not horrible, not awesome. Probably wouldn't stay again.

There was a noisy small group of people below me and they clearly didn’t listen when they were told to shut up by staff. This makes your staff very tiring and irritating! Maybe a security guard is required to kick these people out when they don’t respect other customers. Was a nice clean room, very small, but good for the price.
