The location and view of the ocean from the balcony is incredible. The place was very clean and comfortable. Definitely would stay there again.

The apartment is great. The location is in area with an entry from main rod full of tropical jungle. There is a gap of 2 hours a day without security in the building. This is the only downside I have for the apartment. The seaweed is a problem as you can not enter the sea. It appears this problem is constant in the entire Rivera Maya but the big hotels have machines and personel cleaning the seaweed but as this is an apartment. They do not have anything to clear it away. I suggest you to make sure there is not seaweed before you go. The apartment is excellent.

Casa Coral was exactly what WE were looking for. While searching places to stay in the Tulum area we were open to anything when it came to staying in town, off coast, north/south of town, etc. We landed on this location because the pricing was right and just a short drive to town (we had a rental car and, like others have mentioned, would absolutely recommend having one if you stay here). The condo (room 102 - downstairs and directly on the beach) was clean and offered everything a house would to include 3 bathrooms, full kitchen, A/C, TV, 3 beds. We found it extremely easy to leave, come back, and leave again. The condo provides multiple paddle boards, kayaks, and loungers for the guests. The pool was definitely a plus as it’s well maintained and great to jump into after and before hitting the beach. We said numerous times during our stay that we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Again, if you plan to have a rental car and don’t mind the 20min drive into Tulum or 1.5 drive down from Cancun..stay here!

The property itself is very nice, clean, and private. There is on-site parking available right in front of the units, so it's very convenient. I highly recommend renting a car while staying in this area. Oscar, the host, was very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. The Wi-Fi didn't work the first day we were there, but he came the next day and fixed it. It was still a bit spotty and only seemed to work in the living room area and we had no service in the bedrooms, but it was manageable. We stayed in one of the lower level units and it was nice being right on the beach with a private pool, but unfortunately, it was seaweed season and there were large brown piles of seaweed partially obstructing the view of the ocean. Oscar did warn me of this one day prior to check-in. The smell was unpleasant, so it was difficult for us to remain outside for long periods of time. On the bright side, if you walk to the left about 10 minutes up the beach where some of the other resorts are, the beach is much cleaner. The Lol-Ha restaurant, which is about a 6 min drive away, also did a great job of keeping the beach/water at least semi-free of seaweed. We visited the Yal-Ku lagoon to get some swimming in too, which is near Lol-Ha. There are a few other cafes and restaurants in that same area that were good that I would recommend visiting while staying here: Turtle Bay Bakery & Cafe (good for breakfast), Taverna (Italian), and Buena Vida (this was our favorite).

grate place on the beach with a small private pool. i’d suggest renting a car to get around it’s a little hard to grab a taxi at certain times.

Provided a one day notice that the beach was not usable due to excessive seaweed. They do not clean the seaweed and it was an aweful odor inside and outside. Could not use the pool often due to the smell. Multiple ceiling leaks and could not use one of the bedrooms as the water dripped around recessed lighting (very unsafe). Sliding door glass was cracked as was a window. Lots of rust outside and welcomed by a dead bat in the outdoor hottub. The place was poorly cleaned and couldn't pay me to ever return to casa coral. Should be removed from expedia.

Great stay! Akumal is a small village but there are some great restaurants and it sits half way between Tulum and Playa del Carmen. Oscar (property Mgr) was very helpful and checked in daily to see if there was anything we needed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and cleaned daily.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Coral. The condo was spacious, clean and the staff could not have been friendlier. Waking up with a view of the ocean and being able to enjoy our own private pool made our visit incredibly special and relaxing. The property felt quiet, safe and has everything you need for a nice vacation!
