Smoke detector continuously chirping. Tv not working.

It was 50 degrees when we got in the room. Got it up to 60. Then the unit by the window made the temp drop instead of warm up. They offered to move us rooms at 2am when my son and I woke up freezing but with Covid I wasn’t comfortable going to another room. It was already hard enough to stay in a hotel. So instead we were freezing trying to get the room warm with a space heater for 2 days.

Love the beds

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The front desk people were great, and the lobby was inviting. However, I was shocked when I stepped off the elevator. There was a strange smell (marijuana?), and the carpeting was downright scary. It was stained and appeared not to have been vacuumed for a long time. The carpet needs to be replaced. The room seemed cleaner, but there were a lot of things in disrepair. Crooked walls, leaking shower stall, rusting pipes and ripped lamp shades. I do have to say that the shower was hot and had great pressure. If this hotel represents La Quinta as a whole, I would avoid the brand altogether.

The location is great, and the front desk was pleasant and clean, but then we walked around the corner to go to our room and the carpet was absolutely disgusting full of stains and needing to be vacuumed badly. Our room was okay, but nothing like I anticipated after looking at the advertised photos.

Exceptional

Nice hotel right by airport. I had suite and was impressed with the size of it. It has two full bathrooms, living room, and large master. Furniture was ok, could use some upgrading but got the job done. Felt clean but I still clean myself anyway. Nice size fridge and microwave. I will be back next time I stay in Michigan. Also it was reasonably priced for what I got.

Nice to have the on-site parking and they also provided a carry-out breakfast - not many do that and it is great if you have an early flight.

Check in was pleasant and quick. The room was clean and comfortable, however the walls must be very thin. I was awoke through the night by barking, people talking and walking in the halls throughout the night. Having to awake at 4am was tough enough without being woke several times through the middle of the night by talking and barking.

The hotel did not feel nor looked clean. I had to put shets over the chair because it was dirty. The lamps were all dusty. Overall with COVID 19 I would not suggest this hotel AT ALL.
