Central Richmond hotel with comfy beds

A little high of an incidental hold for a Richmond hotel that’s not the Jefferson but otherwise great downtown/shockoe hotel. Beds super comfortable and very central and walkable location. Helpfulness of the staff was hit or miss but none were rude, just a few times seemed not that interested in assisting or being bothered (front desk staff). I would stay here again nonetheless

We were here for our oldest grandparents graduation from college. We enjoyed our stay with one exception, the cost of parking. If we must pay for parking, if should be one flat rate per day, not a cost every time we leave the hotel.

Omni Richmond

Hotel was nice and clean. Had to pay for wifi if we wanted it which was surprising and breakfast was decent but expensive.

Tired and wanting Omni

Stayed over Easter and found the hotel to be rather tired in terms of condition plus the only restaurant operating in the hotel was a makeshift one in one of the function rooms and then on a part time basis (closed on both Sunday and Monday evening). The service in the “restaurant “ was slow, they were using old beaten up tables and the whole ambiance was poor. We went to the pool on Monday afternoon when it was raining heavily outside. They had left the roof windows partially open and a very cool spray of rain was coming in. The photos of the pool on the website must have been taken some time ago as the condition today was nothing like that. Paint was peeling from all of the roof beams and while it is subjective, the pool was not very inviting. As we were checking out the person told us both the restaurant and the pool were being refurbished which if true might be fine for future guests but did nothing for us. Finally we were staying in a “club level” room which should have given us access to club facilities such us breakfast and drinks. The club lounge was closed. Overall, a disappointing experience.

The hotel was packed with a massive party. It was ridiculous. I couldn’t get in the elevator and they made me wear a bracelet. This should have been made clear when booking.

When we checked in to the hotel at 10:30pm we were first told that they would need to clean a room for us. Then we were told the only room available was a single queen room when we booked a 2 queen room. We had 2 adults, a 14 year old and 5 year old. They said they would bring a cot that both kids could sleep on. It was a single mattress….my 5 year old ended up sleeping on the chair in the room.
