This is a very comfortable "chain " hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. It is in a quiet location on the main road from the centre of Weimar to the Schloss in a wooded residential area. There is ample parking and it is about a 15 minute walk to town.

The woman on reception was gruff and unfriendly, which made a bad impression right from the start. In addition it was just too difficult to have a table to ourselves for breakfast! The dining-room staff insisted on re-setting the table for four (no twos were available when we went to eat), and although we asked them to set only for two, this was denied. The result was that we kept being asked by complete strangers if they could join us for breakfast. Either sufficient provision should be made for couples, or two people should be allowed to sit at a table for four without any intrusion from others! The cooked breakfast was not good (bacon seemed boiled rather than fried!) and the room was only OK. All in all, we didn't think that this hotel lived up to its 4-star rating. We certainly won't be back and will advise others not to go there.

My favorite place to stay in Weimar

Loved the hotel. Spacious room, cool vintage interior with completely modernized updates. The poll was great as was the breakfast.

Beautiful and modern

Elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good bar service. Updated rooms with nice bathrooms. Location is not right in the center of things, but that is reflected in the reasonable rates. Stayed at another Leonardo hotel the next night as a result of this positive experience.

Coach party hotel. No tissues in the room - rooms in need of refurbishment. Felt cold and needed blanket - range down for extra blanket and had to go and collect from reception. It was just somewhere convenient to sleep - similar to travel lodge, bland and boring.
