Not bad for the price

For the most part, my stay was pleasurable. Staff was friendly. Ms. Veronica was amazing to my kids, front desk young lady with the short curly hair was nice and works very well under check in and check out pressure! Merissa in the kitchen was also great. However, menu options are mediocre and need to be addressed. I paid for the breakfast plan but was forced to eat out basically my entire 2 week stay because the food was either not appetizing or the menu lacked the local cuisine, which is what visitors come for. I can get french toast and waffles here, but there should be daily local options on the menu. Additionally, more entertainment was needed. Its carnival season but i couldnt tell if i stayed in the hotel.. get a local calypsonian like Herb Black, with a vast album of music, a local steel pan player, a poolside movie and date night - get a projector up by the pool and get a good movie or display fun facts about the hotel or St. Lucia. Very inexpensive ways to keep the guests entertained without being forced to have to go out to find it. Manager's cocktail can be revamped so much more than what it currently is. Kitchen staff at night needs to know the menu thoroughly. I asked what the meal came with and was told " rice and stuff"???? The hotel has so much more potential and with some changes, can make the experience even more amazing for the guests. Ms. Gustave seems to genuinely love her job and her guests so i hope some of the suggestions listed are considered.

When booking, it gives the impression that this was their hotel on the Beach it was not. Rooms were extremely noisy. Tub was broken under rubber mat.

Our stay at the Bay Gardens Hotel

The stay was comfortable but unfortunately we was a bit dissapointed the pictures that they show on the website is the Bay Gardens RESORT not the Hotel, so be careful on where you book for your stay. Secondly the resturant at the hotel the waiters take too long to serve you and we ended up waiting 1 hour for our dinner to be served, also there was cats around the hotel but especially around the restaurant and the staff did nothing about it. Beware of all of these points made, the hotel is a good 15 minutes from the beach also they provide a shuttle bus to the resort every 30 mins to the hour which makes it easy if you are wanting to go somewhere else, the staff needs to be trained for customer service but as you arrive to the hotel Nathaniel was expetional to us and made us feel welcomed and gave us drinks as we arrived which was brilliant and for the last 7 days we satyed in St lucia he has been very kind to us and helpful with our needs. The hotel needs to be renovated.

* Courtyard view was looking at a patch of dirt/highway * The bathroom was blocked up to my ankle with dirty water from shower.  I spoke to front desk said it will be addressed issue was still there the next day. * There heavy water hitting the zinc in front of Balcony every hour like heavy rain from upper floor draining.  * It was 7:30 pm very dark no light was on in our housing scheme.  My husband used the flashlight to get down the stairs * Neighbor was cooking and the smell was all in our bedroom.  I spoke to the neighbor said they have kitchen/suite.  Expedia contact the hotel manger. They said they will not compensate me in any way. The staff is very nice and breakfast. I don’t recommend staying at the Crouton housing scheme.
