Great staff, friendly and accommodating. The hotel was nicely located close by a lot of restaurant at a walking distance (5min). The room were new, clean and big.

The service at the hotel is wonderful. I had a shuttle collect me from the airport, and the next day they also took me to the Metro station. Service at the hotel was very friendly and efficient and the room was comfortable. Unfortunately, they use disposable plastic utensils and plates in the dining room, which is extremely environmentally unsound, and at odds with the exhortations in the rooms to help save the planet by reusing towels! If they want to help save the planet, they could stop dumping bins full of single-use plastic. The plastic utensils are also not very nice to eat with, so they kind of ruin the breakfast, which is otherwise ok.

My stay was amazing. I arrived 4 hours before check in and they allowed me to check in early. The airline had lost my luggage, along with my winter coat, making any real exploring of the local area severely limited. I flew into town to run in the DC Cherry Blossom 10 Mile run. Due to my luggage being lost I was unable to participate and thus spent my time holed up in the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was spotless and my bed was incredibly comfortable. The only downer was the bathroom was a bit small, but, there are worse things one could complain about. The free shuttle service, not only too and from the airport but within a 3 mile radius of the hotel was also a nice perk of staying there. Next year hopefully the airline will not misplace my luggage so I can run the race, but I will definitely be staying here again. Oh, and the continental breakfast is top notch, very clean and well stocked, even after heading down 15 minutes before service was stopped.

The three outstanding features of the Fairfield Inn Herndon Reston are the service, the free breakfast and the shuttle, which travels both to the airport and the Metro station. The staff are pleasant and service-minded (when I called the front desk to ask where I might buy band aids for my blistered foot, two were hand delivered to my room within minutes!) The shuttle drivers are also nice and reliable, driving every half hour as needed. The breakfast is extensive: omelets, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit as well as waffles, the usual cereal. Coffee's always available in the lobby area. There's a frig in the rooms and a supermarket next door. The decor is standard hotel fare and the room was clean and made up promptly every day. It felt very good to stay there, mostly because of the friendliness of the staff.
