Hotels.com firstly came to the rescue as wasn’t sure if we had a seaview lateral or normal, hotel was adamant it was lateral. Hotels.com quickly got on the case & it was seaview!! Nice balcony also, certainly worth getting them rooms, after that, lovely stay! Has everything you want! Even a omelette chef at breakfast. Wasn’t noisy either, we were on the 6th floor though. So a very nice stay all round in end, aircon was temperamental & only got it to work on the last day, but never mentioned, so thats on me.

We stayed at the Golden tulip Vivaldi hotel for 5 nights. The reservation and confirmation specifically stated a room with a sea view. Only when getting the room we noticed the view was of another building and not the sea. When approached the reception desk we were told that we got "lateral sea view" and were referred to Hotels for further service. The next day we noticed a change in the room description on the Hotels app.

This hotel is in a great location in St Julian near shops, restaurants etc. My room had a beautiful view of the sea and spacious. Bus stop to Valletta is only a 5mn walk and 1.50 euros each way. You can also take bus to Mdina for the same cost. We had issues with our room but the manager changed our room, although still not perfect it was manageable and the manager (Ottoman is his name I think) is super nice and helpful. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived late (10 pm) at the Golden Tulip in St. Julian’s with our two children (3&6 y.) and were told at check-in (!), that they over booked the hotel so they had to transfer us to another near by hotel (600m away). I was really cross, as they were aware that we were travelling as a family and they had all my details so could have contacted me before. I did tell the three people behind reception that it was really poor communication and after arriving at the other hotel, they did know, that we were coming, but still hadn’t received written approval from the originally booked hotel. This caused further delay, so over all very disappointing.

Everything was perfect except given a room in process of refurbishment made us unwell breathing paint pigments.Unsatisfactory!

Location is very good in Saint Julian's, near to the Paceville street. Staff very kind, they can let me leave my luggage after check-out. Rooms are nice and clean.

The view was fantastic from just the 2 floor and it was near a lot of options for food and even drinking if that's your thing.

Had an issue with some random guy just walking into my room with the door shut so that sucked. Also the fridge didn’t work after numerous attempts to get it fixed replaced. My gf finally just moved it to another outlet and it kind of worked. Parking was convenient but a bit pricey at 8 euro a night, 5 would be more reasonable. Room and everything else about it was nice. Didn’t use the hotel for another else, most spent time siteseeing.

My stay was just right for me. Staff, waiters, receptionists etc were all very friendly & helpful. My room was nice, spacious & clean. The only issue there was (which wasn't that big a deal for me) was the fact that the wardrobe doors didn't slide open for storage. Since I packed light I wasn't too fussed. Toilet was clean, plenty of day light entering the room via big windows. Overall a pleasant stay.

We bookee this hotel last minute after checking out of a different hotel early to it being horrific. This hotel was an absolute pleasure in comparison! It wasnt as close to the bars and restaurants but still only a 5 min walk but it had its own lovely restuarant with amazing views and the buffet breakfast was well worth the money. The room had a bed bigger than a king size which wqs comfy, the room was a good temperature (as the last hotel we left was freezing). Bathroom had a shower and a bath which is always a plus. The elevators were in perfect working order and very quick. Rooms and the hotel were cleaned regularly and bottles of water were offered. The only downside if having to rent towels with a deposit for the pool area which was a bit of messing about and for most of our stay the jacuzzi was out of order but it did get fixed towards the end, unfortunately the sauna was out of order for our entire stay so we did not get use this. Overall though lovely hotel and would stay again, pregerably in Summer to use the rooftop facilities as the pool and view looked lovely.
