Disappointing visit

Awful customer service at check in, borderline discriminatory. Room only cleaned it asked. Extra charges all the time. More like a 3 star rather than 4 star. Beach is very rough.

Amazing place, highly recommended.

Amazing property, great rooms, newly renovated. All staff is amazing, even a trainee always super helpful. Great overall layout of the resort. Only one restaurant but food is good. We went our most of the nights so it was not a problem for us. Walking distance to the famous Ostia Fish market and to The Gap.

Overall the property was fine but the front desk need training. First, we were told the hotel would arrange the Covid tests and not to worry. Although the tests were done at the hotel the staff did not know basic information to answer questions. Second on check out at 5 am the staff person was sleeping in the back as I yelled for him, the guard yelled and the guard called on the phone. Then the sleep staff person decided to accuse me me in a very unprofessional tone of still owing 3,000 usd to the hotel. I settled the hotel bill the night before. His behavior and tone were not appreciated on Dec 18 at 5 am. He delayed our departure for 25 minutes because of his mistake.

I liked the bellmen & the ladies that cleaned the room. They were polite, personable and offered to assist in any way needed. I did not like that rooms did not come with bottled water & standard sized wash cloths. The concierge desk was not staffed & the younger front desk staff members were not knowledgeable about the island. The female restaurant staff members were not the friendliest either. Everything seemed to be self-serve! This is very off putting for a solo female traveler from another country. The highlight of my trip was the island tour. Based on my overall experience, I will not recommend Bougainvillea or perhaps Barbados to others. I was happy to leave for home!!!

Excellent location on a beautiful white sand beach. Most rooms have good sea views. We had a one bedroom suite which was very comfortable and equipped with a good kitchen. Small restaurant served very good meals. Staff generally helpful and friendly.

The property is very pretty and lovely surrounding for relaxing in. The rooms are well put together and very clean. There is not any elevators in the property so if you do have heavy luggage and have to go up and down the stairs to the top flood I would suggest utilising the bell boy. The reception staff were always very friendly and prepared to help you as much as they could to make you stay even better.
