Stunning. Wonderful to see all the past and new team. Delighted to see The Great Southern Hotel back to her name. First class hotel. Excellent service by each area of hotel. From reception check in. To breakfast room. Brownes bar. Room service wonderful staff. Beautiful gardens. Lovely appointed bedrooms toiletries. Coffee tea in room. Fresh baked scones yummy. Atmosphere magnificent. Flora on display delightful. Afternoon Tea served in the reading room. 12.30 to 5.30. Wine tasting available. Excellent whiskeys too. You can walk everywhere from this Hotel. To bars. Clubs, restaurants and shops. Church there too should you wish to visit. Train station on doorstep. Killarney shopping outlet next to it also. Not far from Muckross and park. Delightful charming very professional team. Cannot wait to return.

We chose The Great Southern Hotel for a short trip to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday which happened to fall on Valentine's Day. We love this hotel, the ambience, the comfort and particularly the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff made it an even more special occasion.

Our one night stay cost €230 which I thought was a rip off. I booked a junior suite and we were both very disappointed. Usually when we've stayed in 4 * hotels a turn down service and chocolates on our pillows are the norm. This didn't happen on this ocassion

Really enjoyed relaxing by the fire staff courteous and friendly. I'll be back
