Hitel reception staff were great. Efficient check in and very friendly. Room was clean and well presented. Armchairs were not very firm and sank considerably on sitting. Not the easiest to get out of. Tv failed to work due initially to cabling being unplugged at rear of the device. On replugging, tv did work, however only 4 channels of the array for freeview optiins worked. Very poor . Seating service at breakfast wasnt the quickest, however staff were friendly when they eventually attended. Food was ok. Bacon a little fatty and sausages would be fine for

Lovely stay

Lovely stay. The room was spacious and clean. The check in staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast staff were outstanding.

Great hotel

Our stay was very comfortable, the staff were nice and they even accommodated us fancying a desert at 9pm when the kitchen was closed :P Bar staff were knowledgable on whisky and it's great that the checkout is 12pm, particularly since we were heading home directly from Edinburgh that day.

Good stay

Upon arrival the team couldn't find our reservation which was slightly worrying but they reassured us they would find us a room, the email was found and we got settled in. Would have been nice to have been offered a drink while they sorted this! The concierge was exceptionally helpful-showing us some of the best places to go and even jotting it on a map for us! The spa was pleasant - fully booked for treatments so we enjoyed the sauna an pool. Steam room out of use. Comfy bed, tidy clean room and a great location.

Great hotel

Amazing trip and service from the hotel. Even though they was short staffed and unable to service the room one day, the fact they had left a note of apology meant a lot. Every member of staff I engaged with was very professional. I would stay again and again.

Would use again.

Very nice hotel, staff very friendly. Valet parking was an added bonus, even if it costs per night. Breakfast was great, plenty of variety. Onsite pool and sauna was great as well.

A one night stay to go to the theatre and the hotel was efficient and comfortable. I enjoyed the pool and had a very tasty breakfast which had a real Scottish feel about it.

Not so nice staff - apart from the Gym

Rude abrupt woman at the reception desk. Argumentative, had to be right. Told to choose a time for breakfast otherwise I couldn't have it. Staff Vacuuming the corridors of the hotel at between 5-5.30 pm Just very odd behaviour and attitude. I am never staying there again. Even at breakfast I asked for poached eggs. I received a Poached egg. The waiter argued with me that I was wrong and I asked for one egg. Just a horrid experience. I will never, ever return to that hotel.
