I was charged extra money at time of check in. Also there was a fire alarm because kids set off the fire alarm. Also the walls are thin and it was hard to sleep.

This property is extremely run down. The pictures online are incredibly deceiving. This room should not have been more than $30 and it was $120. We didn't even staying the night because it was so unclean and run down.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and adequate. Breakast was the only thing which I felt was sub par. It was from 6am to 9am but by 8:30 all the hot food was gone. I wasn't there to eat so would stay there again for the price. But, if breakfast is advertised until 9am, it should be restocked until then.

At check in 2 staff members were smoking in front of the building. You can't go to the back or the side of the building? At the front desk you had to ring a bell to get someone to come to the front. The sheets in the room were disgusting. Not only was there a period stain on the mattress pad, but that could also be seen thru the top sheet, there were yellow stains and black hairs on the sheets. We returned to the front desk, rang a bell again for service and had to ask for new sheets. We were told that they were in the process of ordering sheets from a new company. Thankfully this was only a one-night stay to visit U Albany across the street...

The Fairfield has allowed us a comfortable spot, close to Albany Med, to rest while a loved one was in for an extended hospitalization. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. The breakfasts have improved over the course of our stay, likely due to changes in Covid numbers.
