Great location very near Il Duomo di Firenze and many restaurants. Can walk to most any of your sightseeing in the city from here. Hotel is clean, staff is very helpful and gracious. The beds and pillows a bit hard for our taste. There was a card for a pillow menu where possibly you could get different pillows, but we didn't check it out. There is a rooftop terrace restaurant where breakfast is served which has an awesome view of the Duomo. Breakfast includes the typical European fare + eggs/sausage/bacon and it was very tasty. They also offer a cocktail & appetizer as a treat one of your days from 4:30-11. Be sure to go prior to 22:00 as the appetizer is only served until 10 pm. There is a Conad grocery nearby on Via del Melarancio which is just out the door, go right, take the first right and then the first left. There is a refrigerator in the room to store perishables. Also just down the street are two sandwich shops which are open late. We were in 206 and 208 which were very quiet. Individual log ons for WIFI, but you don't have to type it in each time as with the other hotels on this trip to Italy.

We loved this hotel!! It is clean, the staff was great, and it is within a 5 minute walk straight down from the train station...a perfect location. We took our luggage and mae it just fine. Many tours leave from the train station so it is very convenient. You can walk a very short distance to the Duomo, the Baptistry, and the Bell Tower. The Duomo can be see.n from the Terrace where you can eat breakfast or dinner. The breakfast was delicious with a huge assortment of food. We had a nice bathroom with a tub/shower combination and a window that opened overlooking a street. I loved seeing the view! There are restaurants and shops all along the street and if you want American fast food there are two McDonald's close by the train station! But with the fabulous Italian food, you won't want to go there! There are street vendors with souvenirs, but don't by from people who are walking, it is illegal. An officer saw me talking to one and ran him off...then he explained to me that he was not supposed to be selling there. You will love this area with all of the attractions, shopping, restaurants, and train station so close by. We were thrilled with our choice!!!

This hotel is right in the middle of everything. 10 min to train station and 4 min to Duomo and amazing squares. The staff was so welcoming. The room is very spacious (especially for Europe) but a very small shower. Extra and good pillows and the bed was perfect to sleep on. The included breakfast is so great. Amazing coffee bar, scrambled eggs, meat and cheese spread, pastries and breads galore. Tons of sparkling and still water, juices and amazing coffee bar. Friendly and helpful bfast staff and a quaint room to eat in. Eventhough it's right in the action, the double pane windows are a blessing and block out all noises from the street. We slept like babies. The only complaint is the lack of A/C. It was a tiny heat wave but very stuffy in the room at night. We left the window open but it was noisy and mosquitos came in the room. You couldn't control the temperature of the A/C and it honestly felt like they shut it off after 10pm until the AM. Minus the lack of A/C, it was a wonderful hotel and we were so sad to leave. This truely is a wonderful boutique style hotel with a very friendly staff and great amenities. We would stay

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel Laurus al Duomo and had a wonderful experience. The view of the Duomo from the outdoor dining terrace was magnificent. The staff was friendly, the rooms were large, clean and the bathroom was huge! I booked a room with a view. When I contacted the hotel prior to our arrival I informed them that this was a special celebration and asked if there was anything I could do to surprise my husband. They responded that a gift would be left in the room for him which I thought was very kind. When we arrived and entered our room we were both greatly surprised that they upgraded our room to a room with a balcony!! It was absolutely beautiful and it made our trip that much more special. The duomo was so close we felt as though we could touch it!! The breakfast was standard for a European breakfast. Everything was fresh and something for everyone. If you missed breakfast there was a lovely cafe right off the lobby of the hotel. This is not a large hotel and it is a conference center for business trips and such but I can assure you it in now way felt like that. It felt like a boutique hotel; small, quaint and quiet, yet right in the heart of the city close to everything. It was exactly what we were wanted. *Note-Book all tours and excursions in advance and get the Firenze card. Absolutely worth it.

This hotel is in a lovely central spot close to Duomo. It has a great rooftop cafe that overlooks the city. The staff were helpful and the hotel is clean and pleasant. One issue is parking of a car. We pre-arranged to drive to the hotel, have the car garage pick up the car at the hotel and then deliver it to us whenever we needed it. This works really well, but you must know exactly where you are driving to get to the hotel in the first place and then when you leave the hotel, it is complicated to avoid the bus lanes (and video tickets). This is probably true of any hotel in Florence and this hotel does its best to overcome Florence's rigorous traffic laws.
