Lovely vacation

The rooms are not fancy but all I care about is a good bed and a good shower. They had both. The pool area is lovely. Although I took a snorkeling boat tour, the best snorkeling was right across the street in the shallow pool.

This property location is great and within a reasonable walking distance to the main downtown area (15 min). Although not oceanfront, there is a sandy beach about 5 minutes south and the snorkelling is amazing. The rooms are basic, but comfortable. Overall decent value for the cost.

Our 3rd visit to this property and will come back always. Quiet and a great location because it's within walking distance to town (19 minutes), safe, quiet, beach access, dive shop - not part of hotel, can snorkel or do a shore dive with amazing macro life, laidback atmosphere, etc. What I love most is the pricing is very reasonable and the people I meet are so friendly and very easy to chat with just about anyone. The only negative is, no wash cloth, no body lotion, A/C broke and leaked water into room but they fixed right away, hotel cards - get only (1) and if you lose it, $5 to replace. The hotel definitely is trying to save $ on the little items (which we can understand given the amount of business lost because of COVID), I will just be better equipped on my next visit for those little items that really do not matter in the end. Will be back...no doubt.

The hotel needs to be updated, the restaurant food was subpar, the hotel staff was pleasant. The water pressure in the room was low and inconsistent. Just to name a few.

Great stay overall

I was first in a room that smelled like musty and mildewy and felt like dampness all over on the first floor. They quickly switched me out the next night and I'm so glad i did. My stay was much more pleasant after. Honestly shouldn't put anyone in that room and hopefully it was just an isolated incident. Staff were very nice except for a couple wait staff that were working solo for a couple shifts. They're probably short staffed like anywhere else and tourists tend to think its not necessary to tip for all inclusives. So i don't blame them. Food was pretty decent, the breakfast included in my non-all-inclusive rate was great with made to order juice and omelettes. I especially enjoyed the beach club across the main road by the shore that has a dive shop on site. We spent most of our time there. Snorkeling was also fantastic with easy access and cordoned swim area with buoys. Huge pool area for those who prefer pool time. Overall was a great stay with the exception again for the first room situation. Location wise, 15 minutes walk to town or a quick taxi in. They can arrange covid tests on site for $25 which was super convenient. Overall enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again when in town.
