We enjoyed our stay at the palace but the beach front was very disappointing for me. There is no area to sunbathe by the water or sand you have to drag a chair off the resort. The grand anse beach is lovely but the waves are much rougher than the BBC beach. The staff are friendly and accommodating and our room was lovely overlooking the ocean. Overall a nice place but the lack of chairs to sunbathe on the beach I’d book another resort.

The property wasn’t what I expected. Outdated, water pressure was very low, kitchen are was shared and very dirty. The locks in my room didn’t work, I scared my whole stay there. The staff was pleasant and it’s right next to the beach. Definitely not what I expected.

We had a great stay but it was very difficult getting someone to help us. Front desk was always closed, we really were left to ourselves. We weren’t even able to check out because the office was closed. Not great service, but great room and awesome view perfect for sunset lovers

Best location for the best price

Love this hotel so much we’ve booked in come back in a couple of weeks It’s basic, no restaurant or bar but right on the beach walk out without shoes & there are sun loungers restaurants & bars all along the beach between expensive hotels

It was a quiet resort at the end of the beach so not much traffic! A few stores conveniently located just up the drive way and great for the bus route and getting to know the island. No complaints whatsoever!

Awesome location - needs investment

This hotel has an awesome location on the beach and is very good value for this. It is clearly in need of investment. My room was very tired indeed. It is worth paying extra for a sea view room which my friends did as their rooms were very much better. NB there is no provision of breakfast.

great location next to Grande Anse Beach.

This was a great budget option. Remember the ecact amenities of the room you booked, thiugh, as they said they overbooked and tried to downgrade us to a room with no open balcony. We had to tell them the new room was not okay, but Monique was very helpful once she knew we werent happy and very generously upgraded us to a top floor large apt with huge balcony. She was very helpful throughout our stay, in fact. So be polite but speak up if your room is switched. It is only steps to the beach, but you do have to walk in the water a few steps to get down from their concrete pier. Their restaurant is closed , so be ptepared to walk down the beach to eat. 61 West is the best and pretty close. All in all, yes, we would recommend this hotel as a good budget option to be on the beach; everything else right on beach costs much more. Thank you to Monique and the owner for making good on our booking.

We took a chance on this place even though there seemed to be significant variability in the reviews we read. Despite some glitches on our arrival date,But, the good definitely stood out by the end of our visit. Despite some If I can't glitches on a arrival date,we were very happy with our room. The kitchen was outside and we appreciated the setup (you can wash your dishes as you admire the water from the kitchen window). We were provided a majority of the basic items for cooking. The bedroom area was reasonably spacious with a closet and dresser included. The TV worked fine to fall asleep to with an adequate variety of channels but slightly limited volume. The wifi was pretty consistently strong. We were happy to be in a location where things weren't too hard to figure it out in light of the limited information upon arrival. There are nearby restaurants and a supermarket. Interactions with the staff after that first day were fairly good. The location is fantastic because you are at the north end of Grand Anse beach. We had some of enquiries of the staff that were taken care of. Lamentably, we were never able to get the oven to work, despite instruction requests via whatsapp (unanswered) and the following day from the house cleaner. We ate several meals using the stovetop and a microwave. Our room was wellcleaned every 2 days or so. Water pressure was variable but typically decent enough when we were a bit patient. Nice view of fireworks on new years.
