Good Stay

It was a nice stay for the most part. The location is great. Our room was on the first floor which was nice being next to the patio but it was dark if the shutter and windows were closed and noisy if it wasn't. Room service did not happen until around p.m. And there is not dining in the evening or room service. But we did like the hotel and would recommend it as long as people understood what to expect.

If only the walls worked

This hotel is in a great location, it's clean, it has pretty courtyards and the rooms feel comfortable. Our stay was rocking along great until 7am after our first night. We were woken up by the person next door blowing their nose for about an hour. He then went on to be horribly ill for the rest of the morning, seemingly just feet from our bed, behind a wall which offered absolutely no sound proofing. In fact, rather than deaden the wretched retching sounds, it was as if the wall amplified them. At some point we abandoned our hopes of sleeping in, informed the person at the desk that we couldn't remain in the room, and went out to begin our day. The person at the desk said he would try to remedy the situation, but no apparent attempt was made. The next morning, we were woken up at 7am to our neighbor's alarm going off, repeatedly. We also heard the person in the room on his other side beating on his wall to make him turn off his alarm. We then heard him taking a phone call while simultaneously having a more traditional morning bathroom routine, all of which we lay listening to in a mix of anger, horror and resigned amusement. To be fair, we had bad luck. A horrible guest stayed next to us. His TV kept us up at night and we now all know entirely too many details of his mornings. If that hadn't been the case, this could have been a 3 or 4 star review. Instead we experienced a major shortcoming of this hotel. The walls are worthless, which made being in the room unbearable.

Classic beauty in Viejo San Juan

Super stay at Palacio Provincial. Lovely building, rooms are classic Puerto Rican. We had a Deputy room and it was great - Juliette balcony overlooking the street. Pool on roof was a bonus and roof deck was great - beautiful views and a great place to round the evening off. All the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. And the location is superb right in the middle of the old town - easy walk to anywhere and plenty of cabs if you want to go further. Great stay all round.

The hotel was beautiful and a prefect location. Everything fit into my old San Juan feel. You can walk to everywhere and at the end your day go to the infinity pool on the roof. The staff was so friendly and helpful as if you were coming home every time. I will be back!

Gorgeous stay in a fantastic location. Rooftop and pool was perfect and staff was very helpful while I dealt with lots of flight cancellations and needing to extend my stay. Would absolutely love to stay again.
