Beautiful Property

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The location is right in the middle of Old San Juan. Our room had beautiful high ceilings, super comfortable bedding, and tasteful decoration. This property is a hidden gem!

Nice hotel in good location

It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location in Old San Juan. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The service was friendly but not particularly helpful for our issue. We were told at check in that they had overbooked, so we would have to move rooms after the first night, which was definitely an inconvenience. There was no offer to make this up to us in any way and when we asked, after checking with a supervisor we were offered breakfast but we already had brunch reservations elsewhere and that was that.

Good Stay

It was a nice stay for the most part. The location is great. Our room was on the first floor which was nice being next to the patio but it was dark if the shutter and windows were closed and noisy if it wasn't. Room service did not happen until around p.m. And there is not dining in the evening or room service. But we did like the hotel and would recommend it as long as people understood what to expect.

Great central location. Rooftop pool and deck has spectacular views. Spacious modern room. Good WiFi. Lovely courtyard bar Unfortunately closed on Monday and Tuesday. Awesome staff except no one at desk at 4:30 am when we were leaving. Door was locked and we let a single lady in who was locked out. She was not happy.

Wonderful location for shopping and dining. Historical area that has a European feel is delightful. The rooftop pool area is nice but be aware that if you are staying at the property on a Monday or Tuesday, the restaurant/bar is closed which was disappointing and inconvenient for our two night stay.

A beautiful place with lots of very nice common areas. Do not miss the rooftop infinity pool. Our only complaint was the thin walls between rooms. We had some kids in the next room playing music videos late at night (after 11pm) - we could clearly hear their conversations and could see their light over the top of the wall. Had to ask the front desk about it and they asked the kids to quiet down, which they did.

This was a beautiful hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. The history of this hotel being the former building for the state department adds a bit of intrigue to it as well. The property was gorgeous, the staff wonderful, and the location very easy to walk to from many dining options. The doors were not sound-proof at all, we could hear our neighbors slamming their door shut and the lobby/ bar. Would recommend staying away from the first floor near the lobby if possible.
