Hotel stay for Ed Sheeran Concert

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed and lovely fluffy white towels. Beware not to take the drinks or eat the biscuits in your room. No information that these were not complimentary and then got charged £6 for them ..2 cans of Irn Bru & 2 caramel logs! Apart from that everything good.

Good enough. Quiet room.

Was good. Felt that Novotel as a brand could have been more supportive when we had problems with our easyJet flight.

Disappointed with breakfast we were told it started at 7 on arriving at the restaurant it was mobbed with two coaches full of people already there. very difficult to get at the buffet and no chance of getting a hot drink so felt it was a total waste of £30. On checking out the next morning gentleman on the desk needs training in customer service didn't even ask if everything had been ok with our stay and to wish us a safe journey unlike the gentleman who checked us in who was so helpful

Clean, comfortable and conveniently located

Stayed for one night to attend a concert. The room was clean and a good size if a little bit shabby round the edges. Only complaints I have is there were only two sugar packets supplied for tea/ coffee and the separate toilet with no sink for washing hands, had to use toilet and then go into the shower room and use the sink in there, which is a bit odd. Earlier check in times would be good too. Overall though the hotel is conveniently situated a short walk from the bus and train stations in a central location and was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

Fantastic

Arrived at hotel 3.15pm check in was 3.00pm . Room was not ready, the receptionist was very welcoming, didn’t get her name , she offered to put our luggage in the store room and offered us tea/coffee. We went out then came back . The room was lovely and clean , asked for extra towels and within 15 mins they handed into the room .The location was perfect everything on your door step . Having stayed in 2 other Novotel (York,Bangkok) the service was first class , would definitely recommend to friends

Our stay was 2 nights and it was fine. Very small toilet, but shower room was better. Curtains we very poor and did not close properly.

Souless

Arrived at 1pm - too early Told to come back at 3pm (designated time) Came back at 3pm - still not ready. Finally checked in at 3.30pm. Rooms are okay but sparse. Novotel used to be a quality hotel, no longer IMO

Bittersweet

Our stay at the Novotel was bittersweet. Our room was a standard room but it was comfortable and a perfect size. Unfortunately, on our first night there was a strong smell of sewage coming from the vent. Considering no other guests complained, we assume that it was a fault in our room only. The staff kindly moved us to another room. However, this room was a disabled access room. Of course, it is wonderful that they have these rooms for those who need it. But, it is not ideal for those who are not disabled. After explaining, the staff put us in an executive room (a big upgrade from original) free of charge. Overall, the Novotel is a great place to stay. It's comfortable, clean, friendly, and has great staff onboard. Do not take the sewage smell as a description of the hotel as it was one room only and simply bad luck that we were put there. Mistakes and faults will always occur but the way the staff handle the situation is a true test of character. So, we highly recommend this reasonably priced and cental hotel for a great stay in Glasgow.
