We stayed for 5 nights and didn’t have the room cleaned once. When they only give you one tiny garbage for the entire space it fills up quickly! We also had to go searching for toilet paper as there was none left in the room.

We arrived a little before 7:30 PM to a very odd smell and promptly found out our room was not ready and would take about another 20 minutes. We had already brought in all our luggage and the front desk staff person graciously agreed to keep it behind the counter until we could return after dinner. She was very apologetic and stated they were short-staffed with only 2 housekeepers. Upon return the odor had not dissipated; however our room itself did not smell badly. Later in the evening we did find the need to stuff towels under the doors to the hall and the adjoining room to keep the smell at bay. We were awakened at 5:20 AM to an aggressive shouting match in a nearby room with doors slamming occasionally. This continued until about 7. Breakfast was alright, a fair variety to choose from, but most of the hot food was cold. The dining area either did not smell of marijuana like most of the hotel or it was masked by the food smell, but when you left that room, the smell literally smacked you in the face. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We held our breath, packed up, and got out. For over $200 this was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in and will certainly never return and have serious doubts about patronizing a Comfort Suites in the future. We did NOT receive a $200 experience.

Stuck in St Charles with help from Hotels.com

When we arrived, hotel was closed by aide COVID-19. That is understandable, except we received no notice. As a result, we were stuck with no reservation and no way to get assistance. Backlog for customer service was over 2.5 hours. Chat did not help. Hotels.com should have warned us of the cancellation, and recommended an alternate hotel.

Drove by 4 times before finding drive to hotel. Very poorly marked. Little dinky sign. Not lite up. No ice machine on second floor. Breakfast had no sausage either day. Coffee was warm, not hot. Overall not very good stay. Will not stay there again.

Family Friendly

Our family of 9 enjoyed two big suites and it was fantastic. The staff was great! It was perfect for us!
