Only there for one night but a comfortable stay with a great restaurant attached.

The outside of the building is deceiving, it looks great and the location is awesome. The state of the room was surprisingly poor. The a/c was a stand up portable unit that was very loud. The room was very dated and dark it was in the courtyard area, do not get a room in the courtyard area. The courtyard is a back grotto area and it echos with chatter and door closing. Location great staff friendly actual hotel disappointing.

Everything from checkin to my guest room and checkout was fine. The problem that I experienced was my car was parked near a picnic table in the parking lot that was turned into a "smoke pit". The following morning my car looked as if it had been parked in an area that had a forest fire. And the trees and bushes near this area were very dry so was also a fire hazard. Why not just have a rule of no smoking anywhere on the premises?

This hotel was easy to get to on the highway and close to lots of food outlets. You can walk to the harbor through China town or past the historic town market. We did find it a little noisy.

Conveniently located in downtown Victoria just a short walk to the ferry and attractions. Great option at a reduced cost from other hotels.
