I loved the maintained beach area, the one bedroom ocean view, the Sisal Mexican restaurant (iber our waiter), cleanliness, friendliness. I’m not sure if COVID affected the food at the veranda buffet restaurant but it was not very good.

Almost every alcoholic drink we tried to order was “not part of the all inclusive package”. For example, you literally cannot have any “light” beer without paying additional for it. Most of the restaurants they advertise are not actually within the property. Must take a shuttle bus to get to them. When you do get to them, about 1/2 the menu items are “not part of the all inclusive package”. They have two beach servers trying to accommodate what must have been nearly 150-200 people in the area we were in. They were working tirelessly. Took forever to get food and drink. If your enjoy early morning cocktail (mimosa, Bloody Mary, etc.), forget about it—they don’t serve alcohol anywhere on the property until 10:00 am.

We had a 5 day Christmas vacation here. It was my husband and I and our 2 sons. I really have no complaints, the resort was clean and they had had antibacterial throughout the halls and elevators. The customer service was great, the food was good, they changed out the menu so that was a plus. We made reservations for out Christmas dinner at the Captains Cove and the food was awesome. The beach was clean, just need to get there early to reserve some good lounging seats. The bars were okay, wish they would’ve had more of a selection on their tequila but they had plenty of other choices. Room service was quick, my orders always arrived 15-30 min early so kudos to the staff! The beds were so comfortable... like I said, no complaints. Thank you for the hospitality Royal Sands, your staff is awesome and friendly!

The hotel was excellent for the price and we were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is beautiful and the pools and beach area is perfect. We had a beach front junior suite on the first floor. When we opened our sliding door, we walked out to a grassy terrace directly steps away from the beach. The hotel was all inclusive and it was exactly that. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, ALL drinks, and 24- hour room service, we were even serviced while on the beach. Very quickly too! The food was delicious. Absolutely no complaints. We had dinner at Captains Cove and the hotel offered a free shuttle to all the restaurants included in the all inclusive package. Hacienda Sisol for dinner was delicious with a romantic setting. The Sand Dollar for lunch is relaxed and offers beautiful views of the pools and ocean. We loved the breakfast buffet at La Veranda. It has so many options and everything is super fresh. This hotel is very family oriented and great for couples. They make you feel very welcome and the staff are always helpful. I do wish there was more direction on what to do when checking in. We were lost for a little bit trying to find our room, but after that it was perfect. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend it to others!

Our trip was during the pandemic, the property cleanness, the food, the staff service, and professionalism had exceeded our expectations. The best part was having our three kids enjoy their vacation in a safe environment, and not to worry about their food.
