Everything was great accept they do not have backup generators which means if you vacation there during the winter and there is a storm that comes through the power will go out. My family had to check out early due to the power going out two days in a row. The hotel manager was very apologetic and allowed me to leave early they didn’t refund the days that I did stay there in the dark because they called that an act of nature.

Awesome sty with family...all the utensils and kitchen gadgets provided were of cuisinart and it was a perfect family vacation

The worst experience the hotel was dirty they make a $ 300 security charge. I asked for the money to be returned to me, they did not, I left the hotel and they gave me very bad attention from the moment I arrived.

I booked a one bedroom at the Bent Creek Golf Resort for November 19th-21st , 2020 on Travelocity’s website. The description said it sleeps 4 which is what I was looking for. My wife, three kids, and I were making the trip, but my son is only 2 so I didn’t see the need to include him in the count when I was searching for sleep accommodations as he was going to be in a pack n play. We arrived around 9 PM after a 6 hour drive to check-in. The young lady at the counter then informs me they could not check me in because we were over the occupancy limit for the room. I later found this policy detail about counting all children regardless of age is in the fine print on Diamond’s website, but I could not find where it was listed in the description on Travelocity’s website! She was nice enough to check for a larger suite, but there were none available. Luckily, we were able to find a hotel room about a half hour away, but Diamond Resorts is refusing to refund our money even though we showed up and wanted the room. After a few attempts contacting the resort and Travelocity and spending a couple hours in the process of talking to customer service, we haven’t been successful. They refused to check us in yet took over $600 from us!! How’s that for customer service and being family friendly?!

This was the perfect place to stay for a family with young children. It has on-site amenities (fire pit, playground, indoor pool, etc.) and room to walk and be outside. It was close enough to Gatlinburg for a quick drive to town, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle we hoped to avoid. We ended up hiking trails that were closer to our resort rather than dealing with the head ache of driving into Gatlinburg for the GSM national park entrance there and we’re thankful we did. We will definitely revisit this place.

This was one of my more disappointing Hotel.com experiences. It started off on the wrong foot with the expected pushy attempt to get me to submit to a sales presentation, complete with the guilt-inducing "did I do something wrong?" act. . . . Well, if the room I had was representative, I would certainly not buy a stake in it. While it was clean and convenient, with all of the necessities, it was not "luxurious" by any standard. The garden tub looks inviting, but both nights I tried to run a hot bath to sit and soak in, I ran out of hot water before the tub was even half full. Add this to the fact that the location is not exactly convenient to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, and I will not be returning.

The resort facility and environment are excellent. But during our stay there was a strong smoke smell from the room below. It is a no smoking building but the front said people can smoke at the balcony, which is a ridiculous policy. Balcony is the part of the unit in the building and there should be no smoking at all in the building. All I got was air freshener. It was a really unpleasant experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at the resort. The staff was extremely friendly, the room was comfortable, and most of all the room was very clean. [Just out of habit--I always clean upon entering an establishment. This by far was one of the cleanest I've been in and I travel pretty frequently.]

Checkin took a little too long. Like they were trying to sell me something. The “resort fee” was a little surprise. And the $200 deposit a little unusual. Now I must remember to check to make sure it was refunded.
