The hotel itself was okay. I feel like i was swindled though, i paid extra for breakfast to be included, just to get there and read that its a "brown bag breakfast". Sorry, but you shouldnt include that as an upgrade. Even if i wanted to use the "breakfast coupons, there were absolutely no instructions on how to redeem them since the restaurant seemed closed my entire two day stay. Now, on to the room. We paid for a king size room with a jacuzzi tub, but we got extras! Stains on the bedding and ceiling, the floor in the bathroom was literally peeling up. The jacuzzi tub also had a nice amount of dirt in the bottom among entering the room. Light fixtures and bed headboards were caked in dust. I was HIGHLY disappointed with my stay. My boyfriend and i didnt even stay the second night, we left at 11:30pm on the 19th.

We like to stay here because it is close to family. The last few times we've noticed there have been issues with other guests not being concernd about how much noise they make into the evening and how it might sound to other guests of the hotel. This past weekend there were two weddings and the partying last ed in the hallways on the fifth floor where our rooms well past 3:00 AM,

There was dust/dirt/debris in the shower that hadnt been cleaned out.

This was a good standard hotel. My only qualm was we tried to call the front desk to ask for more pillows and no one picked up both times we called. Otherwise, no complaints.

It's like the "Bellagio of the East!"

The room was ok. There wasn’t a working ice machine on the first 2 floors.

We unfortunately did not have a great stay at this Holiday Inn. We were first given the wrong type of room (a room with 2 double beds vs. 1 king). The woman working the front desk was very helpful and did switch for us which was appreciated. However, the second room we were sent to had stains on the sheets which was obviously quite unappealing. We also saw multiple instances of other guests not wearing masks in the lobby area which the staff did nothing to correct (despite mask mandates in Illinois), and had a large group of guests try to pack into the elevator with us without their masks on which was a bit uncomfortable given the current pandemic situation. After squeezing our way out of the elevator to take the stairs instead, we passed quite a bit of trash and even some random furniture that was laying out in the stairwell. Not somewhere I would look forward to staying again.

Quite disappointed. Had to change rooms 2xs because there wasn't enough beds. Tv didn't work and maintenance didn't know why. Mold in the shower, bugs in the refrigerator in the room, pool light was attached and sitting on the side of the pool, light in hallway was turned off at night. Wish I would have know they were remodeling would have went somewhere else.

Our favorite hotel in Crystal Lake where we visit frequently to spend time with family. Would use more often is cancellation wasn't with a charge, I book somewhere else when I'm not free to change my mind:(
