Room was nice but the air conditioner didn't want to work correctly took a very long time to cool down the room

Hotel review

The room was clean. Hallways were dark and very hot. In the morning, shower only put out lukewarm water. If you take a shower at night- plenty of hot water. Breakfast layout looked great. Loved my waffles, my husband said biscuit were dry and sausage over cooked. Wish they had bigger cups for coffee. I appreciated the flavored coffee creamer. Overall we were just there one night so out of a 10 scale I would rate it a 6. Oh I didn’t like being charged $100 deposit for the night but maybe that keeps the other type of business from using that hotel for business!☺️

My husband is handicapped and a smoker. I requested a room next to a working exit and we got a room next to a working exit with a patio with two chairs and a table with a small bucket for smokers. It was perfect for our needs. Parking was very close so we didn't have to walk far to get our car. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but nice & cool since it was in the 80's the whole time we were there. Very satisfied with this experience.

The check in was quick. The room was secure and close to the indoor pool. I was given an option of what flor I wanted my room on.

The service was very good. Everyone was very friendly and we were able to use the online check-in to make things flow more quickly upon arrival. There was a light breakfast provided downstairs, which was sufficient and some of the items included on the buffet were biscuits, sausage/gravy, choice of cereal, yogurt, toast, orange juice. The lobby always offered chilled lemon water and coffee/tea was available as well. Unfortunately, our neighbors in the next room kept us up a fair part of the night, but that wasn't the fault of the Best Western, just some rude people. And apparently, there is no longer the service of making your bed or replenishing towels/glasses/Kleenex during the day, due to changes made during the height of covid. This we were not aware of, and we didn't remember seeing it on their website. Not that we can't make our own bed, but as this was our first hotel stay since covid happened, it was a bit of a surprise. Overall, the stay was a pleasant one, and we would stay again.

Great location with easy access on and off the highway. Within walking distance to the outlets. Close enough to Saginaw and Frankenmuth for day trips. Staff are super friendly but found that someone was not at the front desk when you needed them, this resulting in a longer process to check in and out. Our room was clean and comfortable with minimal noise even though they are currently renovating. Would definitely stay here again if going to the area.
