We had a wonderful trip to Newport/Middletown, RI. The room was large and super clean, beds were comfy, temperature of the room was very comfortable, and it was very quiet. The only negatives are the pool and breakfast being at The Comfort Inn across the street instead of right at the hotel.

Very appreciative of the friendly service from the front desk personnel, especially Ben and Alex. Room was very nice, had a view of the ocean and marsh. Bed very comfortable and great housekeeping!

I was very surprised by the size of the room. Had two king size beds in separate rooms.

I have stayed here a half-dozen times, and have always been treated very well by the staff. However, electronics and internet connection have always been a little iffy. This time, upon check in, the desk clerk ran my debit card several times, and finally told me that my card was rejected as invalid. I know this was not true, because I had just used it in a local bookstore, not 15 minutes earlier. I finally had my husband check us in using his card, but it was awkward. I was so disturbed that I called my bank and was reassured that the error was on the part of the hotel, and that my card was fine. Later that day, I successfully used my card at an ATM. I can only conclude that there was yet another glitch with the hotel computer network. This will probably not make me decide to use another hotel the next time I am in Newport, but the problem will factor into my decision.
