We were extremely upset with the fact that the Marriott does not disclose that they CHARGE for the use of their spa (aka sauna use not massages Or facial treatments which obviously would have an extra charge) which at an astronomical $32 per person per day! So to sit in there for the two of us for 10 minutes would have cost us $64 per day. It does NOT state this on our reservations nor does it state this in the actual in room hotel information! Extremely deceiving practices. It also does not reflect the practices of a “4 star hotel.” The staff was not helpful when I brought up the issue and claimed it was policy but when I brought up the fact that this was not written anywhere, no one had a response. Other problem is that they do not disclose that they allow cruise ship passengers day passes into the property ... we were overrun with cruise ship visitors to the point that we left the property every day to avoid them and their take over of the pool and beach areas. It seems that the Marriott is more concerned with their business then their own hotel guests. They lost our money for the 5 days we were there and we weren’t the only ones who had that complaint . Another issue is that they do not disclose that the water that the property is situated on is on the Atlantic side which means rough waters, we were very disappointed by that omission as well and if you have children beware of this factor. The rooms could have been more updated and have mattress protectors on them.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Property was clean and well maintained. I didn’t like that WiFi was only free in the lobby area. I could not connect to the WiFi in my room. It would have been an additional cost.

The property was ok, nothing special, not luxurious at all, very basic, looked better on pictures. The quality for the price was very low. Any simple sandwich was overpriced and worse than at an average restaurant. It took forever to get food and drinks everywhere we went. The service was below average. The girl at check in was not friendly at all, didn't want to address any of our concerns. The wait staff at the pool bar and at an outside lunch place looked very unhappy to be there and made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them. Overall, below average, 3 star tops.

we loved that the hotel was only a 12 minute cab ride from the airport! It is quite the resort; with something for everyone. We just loved the beach - fabulous! Activities geared for many age groups; we would've liked more dancing in the evenings, but?? The tours were great and easily arranged; food was very good, too!

Food was well prepared and tasty. View was outstanding. Pool was well maintained and beautiful with swimming up bar.

Property was comfortable good location near ocean

Nice place. The beach is nice and the overall facility was good. However, the food was just ok but at a premium price. Everything, including the room, had a “service charge” of 12%. That makes the advertised price much lower than the real price. I find this to be dishonest. Also, water dropped continuously from the ceiling light fixture in the bathroom.

Customer service is at an all time low at this place. Worker seem to not pay attention to persons of color. The staff treated white persons with priority and ignored black persons like myself. They need to find a way to distinguish and manage guests accordingly or better yet learn to treat everyone as equals black or white

The room was spacious and clean. I initially had an issue with an AC that was not working and the room was very hot. However, I made contact with the receptionist and I was moved to another room which was supposed to have been temporary but turned into a permanent move. I loved the Jacuzzi bathtub. The new room had a pool view.There was however an issue with the phone lines so other than when I made the complaint about the AC and ordered room service I was unable to get through to the phone lines. The layout of the hotel is huge and you have to walk to get anywhere and climb stairs everywhere except to get to the lobby where there is an elevator option. There are events available everyday. The staff is also very helpful to arrange tours. Food is within walking distance of the hotel. My main issue with the hotel was the issue with taking cash. I was on a multi-country tour so I had plans for my credit card and was prepared to use cash for most purchases. However, room service does not accept cash at all. The procedure to pay cash involved at one time me going to the receptionist and then back to the restaurant which as I mentioned above involved a lot of walking.
