Worst stay I ever had in hotel! Rundown and outdated place in good location. Layout just strange and feels like some sort of school rather hotel . Every guest closes their doors it has no door holders so it slams and in the morning you hear every single door shutting ! So annoying! Rooms are so small that can not believe! Never again . This hotel is doomed

Reasonably comfortable and overall about right for the cost (£40). Room was a little small and the sink smelt a bit like a drain but didn’t really detract from the stay.

Great hotel shame about the local area

I have stayed here a few times now and I am very happy with the facilities. I generally have a single room which are small but have everything in place. My only complaint would be the shower as the pressure is very weak and the spray is very fine, in fact I think I would have got wetter being outside in the rain! Staff are friendly, the breakfast and general meals are good quality with plenty of choice. Will continue to stay here on business while the current contract remains.

I was told when checking in fairly late the bar stayed open till 1am. At 00:30 the bar tender wouldn’t serve me as she wanted to clean as her shift was ending. When I then complain at reception the lady said they stopped serving at 00:45. The time was 00:40 but they still wouldn’t serve me. The other ridiculous thing is that on the second night they ran out of jack Daniels but the barman was not allowed to get another one. Only a manager is allowed and there was no manager on duty. This also kinda happened on the first night with the wine I wanted to buy. I will not be staying there again. There are as good hotels close by. On a positive the barman on my second night was amazing.
