Wonderful beach area, fun waterpark, awesome jerk stand on the beach, great drinks, just the right sized resort for family- we felt very safe and our kids loved the place.

Perfect size resort for our group of HS seniors. Most of the staff were very nice with the exception of a few bartenders not being very friendly. Cleaning of the rooms were very inconsistent and when cleaned it wasn’t done very good - wanted sheets changed each day with sand and such, this was not the case. One eve had to go to front desk twice to ask for it to be cleaned and when they did come to room (9pm) they only changed the sheets, which weren’t put on bed correctly with exposed underneath mattress pad.

Really nothing itvwas a waste of money!!! Would not recommend staying there. Spend a little bit more and stay somewhere else.

I loved the staff, wait staff in the buffet dining room was superb, genuine smiles and greetings. They even remembered where I like to sit. The bar tenders were curteous and made wonderful drinks. My room was emaculate and smelled fresh and clean each day. Fridge stockef

I have been traveling to Jamaica for over 23 years and have stayed at 4 and 5 star properties as well as 2 star. The Jewel Runaway Bay is the PERFECT Family all-inclusive resort. The beach is lovely, the children's program was full and lively (especially with2 days of rain). They even have a good tween/young teen program, a rarity for that age group with a game room, pool table, etc.The staff was the KINDEST and most helpful I have ever encountered. We preferred the Jewel over Beaches Negril which is MUCH more expensive. I am a 56 year old woman and went with my 23 year old daughter. It is NOT the perfect adult resort as there are no adults-only pools or activities except for late night at the disco which is mediocre because families with kids are in for the night. We enjoyed the Spa, a free and they did a positively MARVELOUS job with extras like a celebration for my daughter's birthday and our day renting a cabana! Would definitely recommend for families. For adults only (couple or singles), choose Jewel Grande in Montego Bay or Jewel Dunn's River if a perfect beach is important to you as the Jewel Paradise Cove sounds wonderful but doesn't have as nice a beach. Buffet food was best I've had at an AI, though we prefer local cuisine which was always available. Finally, we upgraded to a Junior Suite with concierge and plunge pool. I never thought I was the plunge pool type but after having one, I would do it again if affordable.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was so kind and accommodating. The food was good. The entertainment kept us entertained. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer, but we’ll be back in the future.

Great place! Only con is that it was a one hour drive to and from airport but once we made it was all worth it ! Near lots of attractions. Tour attractions pick you up at your hotel. Oh did I say unlimited alcohol beverages of your choice . 😊

Wow! What a great resort for families. Food was great, entertainment was amazing (Love the Gem team... happy feet, Goofy) and the kids club was so inviting. Lorna and team in the kids club were so great to the kids, tons of activities too. Room need updating but you do not spend a ton of time in them. The water park was safe, fun and clean. Tons of lifeguards. We loved our stay!

I liked the room I ended up with . The first room, which was supposed to be an upgrade smelled terribly of mildew. Overall nice resort. Would have liked more live music or even a show during the day to sit by the beach/ pool with
