Very nice and modern hotel. Although the lift was broken we were only on the second floor and didn't have much problem getting our bags to our room. The staff was helpful and nice and the breakfast was good.

Hotel undergoing substantial renovation in entrance hall & reception, so difficult to review. However room itself was clean and comfortable.

The reception desk were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. However, the room had no air conditioning or fan and was cramped and claustrophobic. It was so hot that the window had to be opened but then noise could be heard from other rooms. The room was on the 4th floor and overlooked a building site so by 9 am there was hammering, drilling and workmen talking loudly. The pillow was very uncomfortable as well. I slept no more than 2-3 hours both nights I was here because of the above problems

Overall an above average experience. This hotel is upgrading to keep up, which is paying off, but more needs to be done. Location: The hotel is not directly located on Kurfürstendamm, but a block and a five-minute walk away. A bit of a stretch, but not deceptively so. The area is very residential (in a European inner-city sense and with one of the large shared backdoor courtyards that Berlin is famous for), so there is some background noise, but no nuisances. They are renovating the lower two floors (as of this summer) but we did not feel the impact. Room: Stylish, modern varsity interior design. Very clean. The shower area is partitioned off with sliding doors, which is certainly impressive interior design but may be an issue for those who prefer complete privacy (contours visible). Very professional cleaners. A good amount of sockets were available We did not use the TV but mostly German media on offer. Average bedding. One major downside: There was no air conditioning available and the hotel simply did not offer ventilators! The room was boiling! Staff were courteous and helped with all requests. There was a younger staff member who could have thought on his feet more strongly when one of us arrived later at night, but nothing to dent the overall experience.
